If I’m trying to dodge the better teams that most people want to avoid
Yeah it would be avoiding suns denver , so 1st round with Memphis or Sacramento 2/7 3/6
Bracket. I just don’t see clippers losing out to be in that bracket and I don’t see them losing out “on purpose to avoid those teams either, unless things really change and it’s last game of season
And a rest/tank job gives them a more desirable matchups.

Advocated to extend Reaves asap like a year ago as long as he’s cheap. About half the people on the Lakers forum viewed it that way too, some said ‘he’s not starting material, we need to pay DLo and Rui and whomever…’ Flashy and expensive guys who do little to nothing when their shot ain’t falling, aren’t as versatile and aren’t the defender that Reaves is.

Always plays hard. Glue guy, especially on offense. Unselfish as hell, tough, tremendous locker room guy, crafty with excellent decision-making. Can’t switch onto everyone or defend the other team’s best player but he excels within a team concept because he’s smart and always tries.

Hope he goes to a fun team where he’s ranked accordingly in the team hierarchy. Kings would benefit a ton from him. Every team but Kings come to mind immediately. Lakers may pay DLo and possibly Dennis first. Huge mistake if they do.

This week, the matchups with OKC and NO are a good test for whether Lue will play the optimal lineup vs athletic teams. It does mean less favoritism for older players like Morris/Russ.

Booker isn’t better than PG. No one can guard PG. Booker is much easier for us to guard b/c he’s 6’5″ and we have a lot of wings in that range. I think Westbrook could probably guard CP and the big thing with CP is that Zu messes his mid range game up every time because he knows how to space himself between the driving ball handler and the rolling big. Ayton is a more talented offensive player than Zu, but Zu is a better defender.

You can eliminate all the noise and assumptions by simply looking at this:

Mann/PG/Kawhi/Morris/Zu (+11.8)

and

Russ/PG/Kawhi/Morris/Zu (+12.1)

If both the Russ fans and the guys who dislike him some apply the same standard and don’t make excuses one way or the other, we can agree some and move on to more fruitful discussions like playing style, coaching wrinkles, matchups, defensive schemes or whatnot.

Clips gained more ground over Dallas, but Minnesota’s big win vs NYK is a bit unsettling as a Clipper fan. A bad week against OKC and we could find ourselves in the play in. Really have to earn a split at least this week and beat N.O. (a team we’ve struggled against) on Saturday.
