I’ll always keep an eye on Shamet, as I was so high on him after his rookie year…. but maybe shooting 45% from 3 for the Clips was a prolonged hot streak, and last season (37% from 3) is going to be more of the norm for him going forward. I do feel like maybe he needs to be in a rhythm and get the start to have more success.

I think who is better Luke or Shamet, could still be up for debate. Luke definitely looks more comfortable with the ball in his hands as a secondary playmaker. That was something Shamet was “working” on last season, but never really came to fruition. But maybe Sham will get back to being a 45% from 3 shooter someday.

It was nice watching Shamgod sink one of his patented catch-and-shoot threes for the Nets on opening day. But I think Luke is more talented and versatile. Hoping for big things from him on the Clippers.

I do agree that the starters haven’t looked great so far, but I think a fair amount of that could be due to foul issues with Beverley and Ibaka. I see what you’re saying about how having both PG and Kawhi out there leads to some ball stopping, but that’s the price you pay for having two wing superstars who aren’t next-level passers.

Yeah Serge will definitely make a much bigger impact on offense than defense. But his defense is still a huge upgrade over Trez.

Good point on Ibaka and it was a bit of a misconception that he’d improve our defense coming in. One of the motivations behind Zu anchoring the 2nd unit instead of him.
