Yeah Brown would probably not be horrendous as a regular season guy who gets a few minutes when Zu’s in foul trouble, but he’s not even close to someone I’d play big minutes or at all in key games.

This final roster spot/center thing is a real conundrum. I hated seeing Hart go but at the same time he had frequent bad turnovers and fouled too much so not totally heartbroken. Moses needs to be on a young team where he can get lots of run and develop. No way I can see him on the floor in a deep playoff run. Whiteside is the most obvious free agent still out there but his skill set is redundant to Zu’s and there’s some risk in terms of locker room chemistry. I think that if there was ever a time for Zu to start attempting threes it is this preseason. If he can demonstrate even an ugly catapult threat from there it would open up a plethora of options for a backup big.

Boban is really skilled offensively for such a big dude – back under the old 90s rule set he would’ve been putting up monstrous numbers.

I’d say the Boban comparison is disprespectful to Boban. Boban has skill, just bad foot speed and stamina being so goddamn huge. Brown’s feet are slow, but not because he’s built like Boban. He’s just tall and lanky. Brown’s screening is pretty weak. Luckily his negatives are all things that can be fixed.

Hart and Moses. I was thinkin body type similarites—long, rangy, active and young. I know their skill level is very different. Based on the one game, I’d say ur selling Moses short on the Boban comparison.

Yeah he and those other former NBA guys were weirdly added just for these preseason games, I think as like the NBA giving those players a trial run or whatever.
