This is a good take. MM already isn’t a great defender to begin with, but he straight up turns into a traffic cone at the end of the game, and his tough shots are that much tougher to hit when his legs are gone.

One thing I’d like to see is better management of Morris’ minutes. He’s played hard at both ends for the Clippers, but it’s clear that he’s starting to wear down. At the Miami game, he was great for the first 6 minutes of Q1. Lue left him in too long and he air balled a 3, missed 2 FTs and had challenges on defense. With rest he came back and played well in Q3. I just think that Morris is highly optimal and valuable at around 20-24 minutes a game and there are diminishing returns if he plays too many consecutive minutes. With the bench the Clips have, I don’t see any reason why he needs to be burned out like this.

While we’re floundering, the Lakers are quietly morphing into a serious threat in the west. LeBron isn’t LeBron anymore but he’s transforming into Larry Bird and dominating with strength and IQ. Westbrook is starting to look like good Westbrook and Thomas Bryant was just sensational tonight too. Hopefully our fools take inspiration from this. Perhaps being “the best team in LA” was enough for them to dog it. That’s no longer the case anymore.

I wish I were this optimistic, but honestly this team has been *that* bad over the last couple weeks. It’s not just the number of losses, but the way they’re losing – like straight up the vets don’t even pretend like they care. I’d be less pissed off if we lost while grinding and scrapping, but the last few games have been the biggest embarrassment I’ve seen from the Clips since before we even had the Kandi Man on the team. And adding to my irritation is the lack of fire/urgency from the team in interviews – where’s the anger? Where’s the shame? It’s *really* hard to root for a bunch of dudes who appear to care less about losing than we do.

*phew* Sorry, y’all. Rant over.

This has been a pretty shitty two weeks of basketball.
I hear everyone’s complaints about Ty’s ridiculous infatuation with nano-ball, PG’s turnovers, MM being slow, Wall being washed up, etc.
But, we’ve seen some pretty good quarters and a few great games in the 1st half of the season. There is some hope.
And, when we are healthy, our minds are focused and the right personnel out on the floor together — we will be very difficult to beat in a 7-game series.
So, I’m not ready to fire Coach or trade away PG, Mook, Luke or anyone else.
We have to remain patient; we still have 40+ games to get better.
During that 2nd round Playoff Series against Denver, when we blew a 3-1 lead — that was the lowest point in my fan’s mind of our team. We’re not even close now.
Keep the faith, brothers and sisters!

I feel like Mann should be getting 30min w/ the current roster, but obviously it’s a different conversation if we (hopefully) get a big trade to shake things up. If we aren’t gonna have a backup C, and if the coach is gonna run a ton of microball, then it’d stand to reason that our best POA defender and best rebounding guard would be getting a ton of minutes…unless of course we’d rather just lose games to appease certain veterans’ egos and/or the FO made promises to certain guys to play them regardless of how badly we’re struggling.
