However, the system still seems to know I’m logged in, because I can go from homepage (tells me I’m not logged in) to the login page, log in, go back to the homepage (still tells me I’m not logged in) and then click on an article (tells me I’m logged in). So it’s an issue with the way the homepage is presenting, not the system itself.

The article pages have a much higher success rate. For some reason this top article feels like a bit of a coin flip (though I’ve had some success refreshing it when it tells me I’m not logged in), but the articles down the front page have really high success rates right now, compared to yesterday when it was virtually impossible to get logged in on a post.

So when I came back to this article the site had logged me out, and when I clicked on the red “Login” button on the top right of the screen and entered in my username/password info it took me to my profile where it showed that I was logged in. But afterwards when I went back to the homepage it showed that I wasn’t logged in, and when I clicked on this article it indicated that I wasn’t logged in (I couldn’t comment). So I clicked on the “you must be logged in to reply” hyperlink at the bottom of the page in the reply section, logged in, and now as far as I can tell I can comment on all the articles, but I’m still not “logged in” on the homepage. Incidentally, I can also post in the forums as of now too.

…so it looks like the login for the articles/forums versus the login for the homepage are separate/not synced up?

Still troubleshooting some of the log-in inconsistencies. I have found that as I navigate to the home page and select different articles, I end up logged out when viewing an article about 10% of the time and then am stuck–so no matter how many times I log back in and re-load that article, it still says I’m logged out and I can’t comment.

If you have a few minutes, it would be helpful if you could click around and notice any instances where it logs you out. I’ve noticed I’m almost always logged out on the home page, for example.

Also just wanted to say good job on the site re-design – I haven’t run into any of the same log-in/reply button issues, and everything is looking/running smoothly so far.
