I believe he still has his place in Newport so we can offer him convenience over other teams at least.

I’d hope they’d push each other to get better and better. Would also like to see them rooting for each other. Wondering if Moses would be up for that 2 way option?

Let’s start with default optimism and let him show us what he’s got—I’m betting he’s got plenty and may even have to do more than the “Robin” he expects to be, depending on who all can stay on the court this coming year.

Got a lot of rep in the league, can get his own shot and, more importantly, can get hot.

With the hope atleast 1 can be a serviceable rotational player in the coming years!

I still think he’s pretty good and a generally a good fit for our team. At the same time, he’s a prime trade candidate and we should showcase him as much as we can, especially if it means we can give rest to Batum and RoCo.

Morris is also the type that can take on a lot of the scoring load, which could help PG and Leonard pace themselves, while also juicing his trade value.

Even if we have players that fit better with the starters, I don’t think starting MM will lose us too many games and we should at least do it through the trade deadline for the above reasons.

I don’t see any long term benefits to having him come off the bench. Anyone who is too concerned with our main starters having enough minutes together to build chemistry for the playoffs is both undervaluing Ty Lue as a coach as well as the importance of minutes to develop chemistry. There is diminishing returns to having a line up play a lot of minutes together especially when we are angling for a consolidation trade. We can worry about chemistry and winning games when it’s critical. For now, we need to boost the roster and maintain the legs of some of our older players.

I don’t think he should automatically be, and do think he’d be a better fit for a bench role, especially, if they go small ball and with Wall off the bench.

But, I think Ty knows Morris has done nothing to get “demoted” so will have to just see how it plays out on the court.

I know when they switched to the week break for All-Star they started a week earlier, more toward mid-October. I think they’ve tried more of these local “series” to try and stem some of the back-to-back situations (ie. playing 2 straight games against the same opponent), but I don’t think they’ve actually started the year earlier. Would be nice, but it’s already one of the longest seasons in professional sports.

I’m definitely not one that would complain to another week or two of “extra” basketball though, so definitely would hope they do start a little earlier if it means a better product on the court.
