I realize it’s really likely nothing comes from this but I don’t get the logic behind that – we’re already the oldest, and one of the deepest teams in the league, and Harden, CP3, and Dunn can all play PG. Meanwhile Flowers is uber raw, but also uber talented athletically and a pest defensivley. Did I miss Preston blossoming into an actual NBA player? Like did he get exponentially better at shooting or finishing around the rim? I wonder if Flowers wanted to go to a team that offered a clearer path to immediate playing time (re: the Bulls) and asked for his release…

Seems like LF’s emphasis on having positional size was either a bunch of horse shit or Ty Lue decided that it doesn’t matter. I am going with the latter. This decision by Ty Lue to start DJJ over JC just proves once again that the Coach and FO are not the same page.

How can this team reach its full potential when the Coach and FO don’t see eye to eye? I guess they won’t. First round exit here we come.

Now I hear the arguments on why DJJ should start instead of JC. He’s a better defender and provides POA defense. But this fixation on defense is why we lost to Denver and why we will lose in the 1st rd yet again. The object of the game is to score more points than your opponent. We failed against Denver cause we couldn’t score with enough efficiency. Having guys like KD or DJJ with the starters kills efficiency because it hurts spacing. Limited spacing makes it much more difficult to score. When you have to work that much harder than your opponent to score, you eventually wear down. We should be starting our best 5 players on offense and give them as much as reps before playoffs so they become an efficient offensive machine. Denver only had one good defender and a couple sieves in their starting five and they were able to play good defense against us in that series. We could do the same. We don’t need defense first guys to be successful, we just need a good defensive scheme.

He’s even more high voltage than prime Gary Payton was—and that’s saying something.

Hats off to all who thought DJ should start and Collins should come off the bench. I was suck into that mindset that we needed a big 4 to spell Kawhi, but they can play together when necessary so best of both worlds.

Even more people jumping on the Ships after last night’s display. CP3 to Brook is a thang to be reckoned with and appears to be durable not just training camp vibes. The scary thing is what if Beal is still great on top of all this? Bummer that most of us won’t be able to watch his (hopefully) Clippers’ debut tomorrow against the Warriors.

But that’s what YouTube highlights are for:-)

Except in tite games where he bricks the open 3s where they willingly and brazenly dare him to shoot. KD, at 31, may NOT be able to improve his shot as I’m sure he’s practiced a ton of them and probly with good coaches. If he could just get to .37 on corner 3s, he’d more than complement his defensive game. And, his D is so good (love his anticipation on steals) it’s worth giving him a longer leash to improve his O.
