If there ever comes a time to rebuild and getting the draft picks right, I think Clippers have to either clean house, or at least revamp the draft evaluators of the FO. There is no reason they shouldn’t be like top-5 in finding talent even late in the 1st or early 2nd.

Not saying it is possible to get them all right, but like 2 picks in the last decade lasting more than 3 seasons, is not a great track record.

I think T. Mann’s value increases in the postseason over the regular season. He’s not the defender that Dunn or DJJ are, but his 3 point shot needs to be respected. He was a good finisher too. If Dunn or DJJ can improve their 3 point shots though, they would easily pass him. He’s less of a specialist than they are though so I think he’d really be a good fit for any contending team. But I guess having 3 guys like that was a little redundant for us. I think JVG really loves Dunn/DJJ for his defense, I wouldn’t be surprised if he fought hard for 1 of them to start.

I trust the FO evals when it comes to vets (not on rookies though). If they think Beal can thrive here I think they likely have a plan for him to be productive. There’s technically “more” to work with when it comes to Beal over Norm so I expect them to set him up for a great year.

I like having guys who are overqualified for their roles like CP and Brook will be, age be damned. That’s such a surface level way to look at it. Yes they’re old, but they aren’t being relied upon to be starters like they were last year. Btw, the comment about learning lessons on role expectations I’m assuming that had to be directed at Russ right?

Agreed re: T-Mann.
I miss him. Dude is a Clippers, through and through.
I had hoped when we finally lift up that Larry O’B, he should be the one smiling the widest. Oh, well.
There’s still a chance he comes back one day. Batum prove it can happen.
Let’s see what we have in hand this season. I feels like even we are old as dirt, this expendables group might do some really good stuff.
Keep expectation low and enjoy anything that goes our way.

Bogi was awful in the Playoffs, major disappointment. Let’s hope that he redeems himself. He can do it.

I still miss T. Mann. Not as much, but he would help us.

I’d keep Jordan over Baldwin and yeah I’d like to see the draft dept shaken up at this point. The FO overall is good, but the draft record at this point can’t be overlooked.
