I really don’t understand why Ballmer wouldn’t replace Ty w/ a coach who actually gets along w/ his FO or fire Frank and get a FO who fits Ty’s vision, but, well, here we are I guess. Also, if the Knicks wanted to talk to Ty I’d absolutely let them if they offered us a 1st.

He has good fundamentals and assuming they aren't lying about his age, also has time to grow his skillset. I'm not saying he's gonna have like a 10yr NBA career, but we need size, youth, have late picks, and have been scouting a bunch of international/Asian prospects recently - so why not take a shot on him?]]> I appreciate the props, it’s nice to be right every once in a while…even though he’s killing it on another team now 😭

I vividly recall this. Only a few more weeks until we can decompress. So many variables and options.

It was absolutely worth it for Toronto to trade for Kawhi and for Denver to trade for Aaron Gordon.

On a semi-related note, we need a backup big and to get younger, so I hope the Clippers take a look at Hansen Yang if he’s available at 30 or somewhere in the 2nd round. Kid is only 19, 7’2″, and looks like he has some decent skills and good bball IQ. Problem is he’s lead-footed so he’s gonna need to be parked in the paint, but that’s not as much of a problem for a backup big that you’re bringing in as a change of pace to spell Zu for a few minutes per night.

Doing blockbuster trades — not sure if it is worth all the drama.

You have to give value to get it and so there’s often no net difference in the resulting team makeup. You have to have really good talent evaluators and then that evaluation has to pan out. Really a tough biz. But for us fans, it’s kind of nirvana time coming up with myriad and exciting possibilities.

He should be gettable at a cheap price b/c of his age and durability. I have no doubt that with a healthy KD/Kawhi to go with Zu and Harden that we’d easily win 50 games. But we would need the types of athletic wings we gave up (T-Mann/KPJ types) to complement them. I do think those types of guys are available if we’ve examined the market properly.
