This guy is a swiss army knife that can fit on any team.
Can defend, steal, block. Can shoot, cut, pass and be a play connector/safety net on both end. In short, dude is good at anything you want a glue guy / role player to do. He is 6-9, 220 pounds. Can play 3 & 4 spot.
Projected to be mid to late first round pick. With perception as limited upside due to his age (just turn 23) and consistent production in college. (Sound weird, I know)
If we actually make some trade that end up with any first round pick in mid teens, I hope we get this guy.

Even if this roster is only 1-2 guys away (which I don’t buy, but for the sake of discussion…), I have more faith that this FO will do something stupid and do a transaction that puts us 3-4 guys away instead. I’d be open to re-evaluating Ty under a new FO, but everything needs to start from there – Frank has been here long enough to prove he can’t build a legit contender.

But dude need to shoot the ball and do it well enough. And he has to defend without fouling too. So, the path for playing time is clear. Hope he makes it work.
We made the right choice by starting T-Mann & Zu and let them play major minutes, along with the firm rotational spot for Coffey.
We need 2-3 more guys who are spry, athletic and have enough size to hang with the young cores on other teams.
Bones and Brown are my two top choice as the former with speed and scoring talent while the latter have size and positional versatility to show for. Miller also seems ready to contribute if given chance. Kai & Moose should be the candidate for the reserve big.
You don’t have to copy anyone on how to build the team.
Each team has their own style.
We need to find our identity and stick with it. And we need size and versatility to adapt to any challenge.
Let’s see how things work out this upcoming season.
And for those who doubt Ballmer. Well, I don’t know him personally either. But if you are passionate about your team enough to cheer for them every damn time in his sweating t-shirt and you are determined enough to build the new stadium for the the fan and of course for himself to the point that he can drop half a billion (in cash, I believe) just to make sure that nothing can stop that dream.
I still believe that he will find the way to make his team works.

His playoff meltdowns there will make his bubble performance look good.

I trust Finch more than Kidd, personally. I still don’t think Dallas is a great team. The bracket broke well though.

Clippers aren’t really that far away. Just like Dallas made a couple of moves to add some length, depth and youth, the Clips can as well. They do need to get alignment between the FO and the coaching staff to do it, however. The moves the Mavs made to get a PJ Washington could’ve been made by the Clips, but they were not aligned on making such a move.
