He can be like taller P-Bev with more versatile offensive game (slightly lesser shooter) and controlled aggressiveness.

I disagree on this team’s ceiling better higher “without Kawhi”. The 2019 team won 48 games, this team will not win 48 without Kawhi, and probably won’t win 48 even with Kawhi. Says less about the quality of either team as much as it does how much more talented than the NBA is even 6 years later.

Zach Lowe “let go” at ESPN. He was getting paid a lot of money, and it’s a significant cost cut for them. …kind of like the Clippers not giving Paul George a 4-year max contract. Interesting wrinkle after Woj just took himself off the books. ZL is plugged in, knowledgable, smart and funny. He’s all basketball, and in looking around for preseason conversation while other folks are doing football, I was listening to him yesterday, talking to JJ Redick. The pundits are gearing up and we’re getting close. Should be interesting to see what happens with Lowe.

Big fan of this move. Great to have a backup PG who can take care of the ball and play good defence across a few positions. While he likely won’t help win too many games, I feel quite confident saying he won’t lose us any.

This team has a higher ceiling than the2018/2019 squad even without Kawhi. Everyone other than Terence has a secure contract so they should all play with tremendous joy. It’s really going to be interesting to see if JVG can cobble these guys into some throw back defensive juggernaut. I’m not sure anyone has attempted this in the three ball era but we certainly have some tools to give it a go. Hope Nico can still give us 20 minutes on an important night. If so it will be fun to watch.

Nice write up. Dunn fills the backup PG role nicely and makes up for Harden’s weak defense. If Norm and Mann step up the offense while Harden rests, things will be OK.

I’m on board giving this guy a chance. The 37% three ball is better than what his highlights show so there’s hope. But, his 69% from the line is lousy–FT shooting is usually the best barometer for FGs. So, Dunn needs to shoot a ton in practice and just bring those numbers up.
