We’ve all been Clipper fans too long to not be so cynical like Rob.

Since Christie would be sophomore (?), giving him 4-years is more realistic.

OT, if the Spurs took a flyer on Brandon Boston, there is something to be said about needing more time to develop players. Finding a diamond in the trash heap.

This year could be a pleasant surprise with a new team sans PG/Russ or just a sh*t show if KL and Beard are injured for most of the year.

Hope springs eternal or, something like that.

No expectations at all, and it will be fun to track his growth. Let’s see what the buzz and general evaluation is like coming out of training camp and he might get some interesting preseason minutes, but his main role will be to make the G League box scores interesting.

I’m bullish on the Clippers and very much think that they will surprise everybody and they will be quite competitive. So many folks are dismissing them and expecting a nose dive, despite the fact that OKC will get their pick. Even so, if the wheels do come off for some reason, injury or otherwise, there might be some minutes for Christie later in the season, especially if he shines and makes an impact down in San Diego.

I’m always sanguine about our young guys because there is tremendous pressure on these kids so I want to lift them up. But Cam truly is an NBA player. Everyone has listed all the reasons here already, and yes, he should play in the G league this season. But if it’s a shit show come February and we start purging veteran assets for picks I would welcome seeing him be part of knuckleheads 2. I seriously hope we don’t trade bones until that juncture as well.

Max is farther along in his development, but Cam might have the better shooting stroke. Not sure who will end up being the better pro in the end.

Funny thing is the clip linked above in the article starts with his 2 defensive highlight. 🙂
And IIRC, his first made shot in SL is him curling around screen to shoot 3. It’s gonna be his signature play, along with many other moves.
Give him a couple years and dude will be good on both ends.
We might not be as bad as people think for a team with no draft picks for years. Let’s wait and see.
