One thing that sets KB apart from Mann and Coffey is that he doesn’t have to be coached into hunting shots. If he can hit 38-40% of his NBA 3’s, the coaches will find some rotation time for him this year.

I like Brown. I think Brown is the type of player who will progress faster playing with better players rather than playing with the mostly “also-rans” in the G-League. I expect him to be coming off the bench at some point in the season.

As far as Morris goes, He is shot. He is no longer the player that he was. If Lue plays him, this season is over from the start. The Clips will be old, old, old, and slow.

I don’t know what it is with Lue and Rivers. Both refuse to play young players. We saw it with SGA. He didn’t get a chance until injuries forced him into the lineup. We saw it with Mann.

Last year was the ugliest season I’ve watched since 1986. I refuse to watch the same crap again.

I know we’re in an era of “positionless basketball,” but Kawhi’s already injury prone playing the 2/3 – I really don’t think he’d last very long at the 4. And let’s be real, I’d be happy if it happened, but we can’t trust Ty to only play MM 10ish mpg.

Assuming Morris does play, but 10-12 min. per game with the remainder of Roco/Nico/KJ and maybe some Kobe B.

One of the Christoper brothers suggested that KL at the 4 would work, if Terance starts with Russ, KL and PG.

My standards for young guys on this team are pretty low – basically I’ll be happy if he’s good enough to get some minutes here and there outside of garbage time this season. Not like our PF rotation is particularly strong anyways.

Also I don’t think the Clips as presently constructed are a legitimate contender. That goes double if Ty decides to start MM again for 80% of the season.

The promising Summer League was mostly just one game, and it’s hard to take much from SL regardless. I liked what I saw but I don’t think it means anything for a contender.

Do I think he’s ready to start at PF for us? No, not yet, but he had a promising Summer League and I’m looking forward to seeing him get some garbage time minutes and maybe some spot minutes later in the season.

…but if the rumors about Ty starting MM again this season are true I will straight up boycott watching games. Looking back on it, last season was seriously one of my least enjoyable Clippers seasons ever, and Ty’s inexplicable rotation decisions (mostly MM) were a big part of that. I don’t think I can take another year of that.
