The problem I have with both Rivers and Lue is their determination to not play younger players. If you never play young players who show promise, you will most likely destroy whatever career they may have had.

The only reason SGA broke through is because Rivers was forced to play him.

Brandon has been a streaky shooter. But putting him in positions that cause him to force shots up to prove his worth is counterproductive. Play him and let’s find out if he can really play or not. No one became a “grizzled old veteran” without having someone play them when they were young. Boston, Jr. is still only 21.

I wonder if Boston ends up as part of a trade package to the Blazers for Jrue? Lot’s of the typical teams being floated for a destination like the Knicks, the Sixers and Heat and of course the Lakers. But if I’m the Bucks I didn’t just trade the ultimate Dame buster in the league to have the Blazers turn around and trade him into my conference competition. I would have put conditions on that. Will be interesting to see what happens. I think we are in the driver’s seat on this one if we’re willing to pony up.
