Your negative imo of harden is fine and dandy, everybody allowed to like dislike players.
However you’re assuming that Payne would choose third fiddle for vet min as a clipper. When there are far better teams out there that could offer him better chances at winning and as well as a more consistent/secure role!

I wanted Bones to be the starting PG this coming season. With the re-signing of Russ, that isn’t going to happen. I’m now on board with Russ so my mind is clear as this may be the last year of Leonard-George. If it doesn’t happen this season one or both won’t be at the Intuit Dome opening.

Bones is going to be extremely important moving forward. This team will be getting younger. This is inevitable.

I’m over Harden. If it happens, it happens. If not, this roster can win and should win. Harden is Morey’s problem to figure out.

We are almost at game time.

Harden? Don’t see it happening. And honestly, regardless of such a trade being successful or not, I can’t root for that guy. Status quo: 2 point guards on the team that can play NBA minutes, a third is available for cheap

Cam being a free agent makes me really want to add him as well however the role/minutes for bones/Mann/Russ and possibly harden is already going to be tight and I personally choose those guys egos and skillsets over Paynes.

I hope we try some funky line up like Bones/Boston/Miller/Brown/Moose just to see how this chaos unfold.
In a blowout game, win or lose, that should be fun 7 to 10 minutes for us fan. 🙂

Excellent article! I think the next two seasons will be determining his career for the most part. Bones has taken good steps forward and he needs to build on those.

I can’t get around arguing for Cam Payne once again: he’s cheap, the Clippers do need depth at the position and in many (not all) regards, he’s a matured version of Hyland who has played with the likes of CP3 and improved his game in spite of obvious limitations/weaknesses. A similarly fun young player when he was in his early 20s, he surprised me by sticking around beyond his rookie contract. Compared to him, Hyland is more talented. However, Payne could be a very good mentor while also adding quality depth (for a 3rd point guard). If Preston is waived anyway, go for that upgrade.

Bones would be great with a lockdown defender at the 2 next to him. If PG stays healthy and does that, and Mann fills that role as well, Bones can have a breakout year.
