TMann beings the intangibles, with energy, more than maybe anyone else on the roster beside Kawhi, with a good amount of regularity.

So basically:

1) A high level PG that’d allow us to bring Reggie off the bench, or a backup playmaking PG that’d give Reggie some much needed rest (hopefully Preston can fill this role).

2) A PF who can actually consistently rebound and defend, ideally someone w/ enough athleticism to at least make perimeter players work for their points on switches. Batum and RoCo fit this description, but it’d be nice if we could find a younger, more athletic piece here to complement them…*cough John Collins cough cough

But he will keep making clutch play : Rebound, Block, Steal, Assist or even taking charge. He will do anything to help the team win.
Him and Coffey will be our solid wing rotation for a long time.
This makes me think, how do we draft this year?
We still have young talents in Preston, Boston and Scrubb that would like to prove their worth.
Do we draft another wing? Can we find competent big via draft?
Or should we add a lead ball handler?
From my opinion, I think we go for a big wing who can defend.
Then we can develop this guy in the mold of Batum or RoCo.
A guy who can play 4 and step up occasionally as a small ball 5.
Just my guess.

That’s not how I viewed it at all. I mean maybe compared to his 39 point game to lead the Clips to the WCF, and there was some hope that he would have a breakout season as possibly a starter to replace the injured Kawhi Leonard. So maybe he failed to meet some overinflated expectations, but he had a huge increase in workload and nearly maintained his efficiency which is not easy to do. Sure his 3pt% went down, but last year was on a sample size of less than 100 attempts. No one should confuse him for the knock down shooter that his percentage indicated last year. 37% is more than enough for a guy with his skill set.

I just love his kind of game. Jack of all trades, and I think just plays winning basketball. Hopefully he continues to get more fluid and comfortable with the ball in his hands. He still sometimes struggles being a bit hesitant or not exactly sure what to do when he gets into the lane, but I think those kind of improvements are still possible even though he’s a bit old for his NBA experience level. Maybe a few more % points from 3 and letting them go quicker. I think as a 26 year old, you can’t expect huge leaps like you might with some other 4th year players, but he’s already a solid player and definitely room for some incremental improvements.

For the Clippers I think Mann brings a lot of things that aren’t found elsewhere on the roster. Drive and kick game, fast breaks, point of attack defense, rebounding, are areas where I think the Clips roster is a little lacking. While Mann may not be the most talented guy on the roster, I still view him as a very very important piece. For those reasons I put him in the nearly untouchable category, especially as he’s still going
