No doubt, but there should be some sellers out there for a PG upgrade and we have some very tradable contracts and some prospects to sweeten the deal with.

Guys like Brogdon I think could be salary dumped, problem being is if they can find someone to give them an expiring contract rather than like the 30+ mil owed to Mook, that might be a better deal for them. Still the $33M owed to Mook is better than taking back $47M owed to Russ, which Lakers fans think is a possibility, so I’ll consider it a possibility as well.

Problem being is for salary matching, Mook’s contract isn’t quite big enough for guys like Brogdon or Conley. I don’t know if they can add pieces like a S&T with Hood or maybe after 30-days their 2nd round pick from this summer as potential ways to add just a bit more salary without having to give up someone like Kennard or Mann.

Something like Mook, Boston, and a signed 2nd round pick for Brogdon (deal done in like August or whenever the 2nd round pick’s contact can be traded). Or Morris and Hood (on a new 3 year minimum deal back with the Jazz) for Conley. Not even sure if something like that is possible.

More than fine as an alternative and perhaps even special. Like you said we don’t have the assets to trade for someone all world anyway.

Rubio won’t be ready by October and Dragic wasn’t particularly impressive for Brooklyn. Maybe Wall gets bought out and we take a look him.

I think it would be difficult to find an upgrade without giving away very important pieces like Mann or Zu.
