It’s crazy how much getting rid of Schroder has helped them. Has the stock of any NBA player dropped faster than Schroder since he was traded to the Lakers?

if they get out of their side of the bracket, the only thing stopping them will be fatigue from having difficult early-round series. Getting a rest advantage from sweeping Brooklyn is HUGE.

Seems to me the Celtics should be the favorites to take the title. They’ve been the best team in the NBA since midseason, elite on offense and defense. And they got Robert Williams back. They’re loaded and running on all cylinders. They’ll give Giannis and Milwaukee a fight and I don’t see any team in the west that’s able to handle them. Celtics winning it all would only send Fakers fans deeper into the pit of misery.

Definitely feels like the NBA is wide open these days. But at the same time, super, super deep. I mean in the west alone you have like 6 teams that think they have a legit shot at the title. I mean I heard someone say they would have a healthy Nuggets team as still like the 4th best team in the West, with the clear top 3 as Suns, Memphis, and GS, but I think that’s completely forgetting the Clippers. Then the Mavs and Luka, I still have maybe as the 2nd best team in the West right now. Minnesota doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere with Ant probably only getting better, Pelicans getting back Zion should be better, plus the Jazz (if they don’t blow it up) and Lakers makes a solid 10 teams at least trying for the title. Crazy that 2 of those teams will end up out of the playoffs.

East too probably has at least 5 teams that think they can win the title next season (Heat, Celtics, Bucks, 76ers, and Nets). Usually I feel like you can guess the 3 or 4 teams that has a legit shot at the title before the season starts. I really feel like the NBA has like 10 teams that you wouldn’t be surprised ends up with the 2023 title.

Judging by all the mocking, I think he’s already close. He has a chance to put the Sixers up there with the 2004 Yankees in sports history.

I honestly feel like if he blows a 3-0 lead, you might as well take away the 08′ championship. He’ll be viewed as maybe the worst playoff coach of all time.

Doc continues to add to his all-time records for playoff coaching futility. I believe he’s now at 31 losses and counting in closeout games. He could really make headlines by choking away two more against Toronto.

Actually not a crazy notion if it were Darryl Morey rather than Lawrence Frank at the helm. But like pony soldier says I think we have too good a thing going to disrupt that. This offseason is going to be pure spectacle with regard to the Lakers quagmire, the Nets dilemma and Utah unraveling. I’m actually wondering if Toronto might not become the first team in history to come back from down 3-0 too. If that happens holy shit. We’re in a really favorable place for next season. The Bucks are the gold standard but even if they repeat this year a three peat would be super difficult to pull off. And among the remaining prime contenders we have the best roster. I think the young turks like Memphis, Wolves and Pels aren’t quite ready to overtake a healthy Clippers team. So next season truly is our best opportunity yet in the 213 era.
