Unfortunately since I’ve written this the Griz/Warriors series has gotten even nastier. The Warriors are despicably sanctimonious for a team that finished the regular season with four players in the top 11 with the most flagrant fouls. Cannot stand Kerr. His hypocrisy is vile.

I’m actually pulling for the Celtics as they were my first NBA love prior to current Clippers fandom. Had my doubts after their poor first game vs. Giannis & Fear the Deer but they imposed their will in the second game. And I just want Doc to lose, so there’s that.

The characters of like PatBev and Ant vs. the Griz. The plucky Pelicans. Doc risking giving up a 3-0 lead. The MVP Jokic. The failure of KD and Kyrie. I think also some of the underdogs at least made the series interesting, unfortunately none of them were able to advance.

For the 2nd round, I think I just have no real personal investment in any of these teams left. No one I’m really rooting for or rooting against. Some of the series should be good basketball like Bucks/Celtics is shaping up to be a great series. I am a little surprised by the chipiness of the Griz/Warriors series, which should make for an entertaining product, but so far I feel like the ejection of Draymond and the play by Brooks have cast an ugly shadow over that series. Hopefully the rest of the games can be done with a little less controversy. I still think Suns/Mavs should be a decent series, even though the Suns have made it look pretty easy so far. The only one that seems like will probably be a dud is the 76ers without Embiid.

But just for me personally, I have no clue who I am rooting for in pretty much any of these series.

Are we not sure that Kerr wasn’t the one who sent a hit out on Kawhi in that Warriors/Spurs series? Oh wait. Mike Brown coached that game. STILL…fek the Warriors.

Not enjoying this years playoffs at all.
Don’t like Luka/CP3/Booker/Sarver/Harden/
Rivers/Curry/Draymond/Kerr

Bucks are injured or I’d root for them just so the Greek Freak loses some fire by next year.

Go Celts/Griz I guess. Barely watched any of this crap.

The consensus is that they wanted to purge salary above all else and saw in Justise and Keon two young rotation players at affordable pricing. Don’t know how many here followed those guys after the trade but they were both very good. Justise became a quick fan favorite with his ability run the break and short roll game and Keon has a three ball now. If that holds up along with his defensive prowess he will end up being the best player in this trade hands down. It was really a win/win for both teams.

I mean Portland was intent on blowing it up, so the Clippers really lucked out in their timing. But it’s still shocking Portland wasn’t able to get more from another team.

Was no one else offering like an expiring and 1st round pick for Powell and RoCo? I guess it might be a little hard for other contenders to get to the like the $25m of mostly expiring contracts without giving up key pieces to their team, whereas Bledsoe’s contract essentially acting like a big expiring deal. Maybe Portland was just super high on Keon Johnson? Was really happy to see Justise have some solid games for them and maybe he found a long term home there. Hurt to see him go since really felt like Ty found ways to use him where he could be a solid contributor unlike his last days in Miami and with Memphis. In the end, feels like the Clips should’ve tried to throw Serge in that deal as an expiring contract and kept Justise, but maybe Portland liked Justise.

But was clearly disappointed in how he shrank during the play-ins. Was the moment and responsiblity too much for his skill set? He’s also undersized at 6’3″ for a 2 guard and will have some trouble defending his counterparts. Undeniable that he can shoot the 3 ball, is very effective going to the hoop and drawing fouls. Use him correctly, unearth his clutch gene and he should be fine.
