Not sure what happened to his 3-pt shot. After a few years in Miami where it looked like he could make that shot, now he just looks broken as a shooter.

BUT, seemed like he started really thriving as he was pushed more and more into playing as a big, even as a center for stretches. He was solid at defending bigger than his size. While not a great shooter, he could still draw the defense out, and was pretty crafty in the paint. To me he was like a poor man’s Draymond. Offense will never be run for him, but he was a solid passer and defender.

Really happy for him that it seems like he found a home in Portland. Seems like the fans there really loved what he brought to the team, and he continued his use as a small ball big with Chauncey. If he turns his career around there, I’ll always credit Ty Lue for really finding a new role for him after his injuries.

He’s still young, and health-willing will be able to impact the game the healthier he gets.

Was heartening to see how effective Boston is against the Dubs given how invested we are in wing stop. We are a lot closer to that level of brawn/brains than probably anyone else in the league besides the Bucks. If the Celtics pull this off and the rest of the league rushes to start copying them we will already be in pole position.

He obviously didn’t play as well as we would’ve hoped (I said on numerous occasions that we should’ve signed Batum to his contract instead), but he gave it his all, and was rounding into form enough to be at least like a non-negative asset when we shipped him out for RoCo and Norm. I think he’ll fit in better on Portland anyways and get more opportunity to rebuild his career after his injury struggles, and I’ll be rooting for him out there whenever he isn’t up against the Clippers.
