All the rest of “invaluable pieces”
Imo wouldn’t be enough to get a top shelf point guard .
Unless kyrie or another pg who can opt out directly asks to be sent to the clippers “ala cp3”from clippers to Houston situation arises. And I don’t think kyrie is going to that, or lavine or any other top shelf player for that matter.
Crazy things have happened but the league just issued statement that “they want” players and teams to honor contracts! There is no such rule set in place for this yet but I have a strong strong feeling something is coming between players union and ownerships.

I was listening to the middle of the 3rd Q of the 2nd Warriors-Mavs game, and you could feel the tide turning in that game. If Brunson/Dinwidde/Finney-Smith do not help Luka, that series is over in 4. I’m just bitter. I hate the Warriors.

We would have to give up too many invaluable pieces to get a top shelf point guard. We need reliability to get the ball across the half court and into the hands of PG or KL. Reggie can do both now. For good and bad, with PG and KL out, the rest of the team had to adapt and change — some good, some really bad. Guys that normally would not get pressure minute reps — got a lot of experience, and we saw a true diamond in the rough in A. Coffey.

Right! But in hindsight wasn’t Lou traded for rondo
Rondo and Bev for Bledsoe
And then Bledsoe Winslow Keon for norm and ROCO ?
ROCO and norm should fill that hole in your heart!

Yea, if Reggie was included, it would suck, but I would understand. 1000x better than trading Lou for Rondo or PatBev for Bledsoe, the last few times the “heart” of the team was traded.

I agree, but can’t be about our hearts, it’s a buisness and “sometimes the best move isn’t always the most popular one”
But I agree nets would want Reggie for sure, I’d be ok if we knew/trust our FO that kyrie not going to be a problem. I’m more then ok with moving Zu , he’s expiring anyways and I don’t think extending him/resigning him is a smart move since we’re gonna be playing small ball a ton.
If we could keep Luke in a scenerio like that I’m down,
I actually value luke who’s earning his contract now more then Morris Zu and possibly even Mann

Yeah I agree , I like ROCO and norm too and don’t think we need a huge trade, but definitly I wanna another pg hopefully.
And if Zu/hart are not going to get a ton of burn in the playoffs because we go small, my as well trade Zu before we loose him for nothing. We traded Bev last year of his deal, FO is smart
There playing chess, if Zu isn’t in the future plans he’s gone this summer I’m sure if it. They could value him and all this is mute point .

Who knows theoretically what could/couldn’t happen?
But yeah just that everyone knows I’m not pro kyrie guy
I’m just pro clippers getting there first championship guy.
I try to take personal feelings about players out of the equation when debating about if they’d be a wise gamble or not. Basketball skill wise
I think it’s a no brainer to add him to pg13 and kawhi and trim some depth, however I still think k it’s a pipedream he asks to be traded to us specifically, kawhi/pg13 completely on board with it, nets taking our semi crappy package and even happening. Lol but it’s fun conversation , rumors only going to get more intense with trades in the 2months

If the cost is 2028 FRP or Norm, I pass. Not even sure I’d include Mann or Reggie, who probably both SHOULD be available, but I just feel like are such important pieces to this team. Nets might want Reggie to replace Kyrie, but he’s become such an ambassador of the Clippers franchise, not to mention his friendship with PG, makes him almost off the table for me (although I’ll admit it’s more about my heart than my head). Yea not sure if RoCo could even be traded. Zu I assume would have to be in the trade since that’s the position that Brooklyn really needs a guy. It would be a tough loss, but Hartenstein often played equal minutes to Zu, and I still think one of the more “replaceable” positions to get a fill in guy minimum guy as a backup.

I feel like Luke is an asset for most teams, but with Harris, Curry, and Patty (assume he’s back) all on Brooklyn, I’m not sure if they need another sharpshooter. I guess can never have enough shooting these days, but if one team has a plethora of those kind of guys already, it’s Brooklyn. Maybe could find a 3rd team that wants Luke for a point guard going back to Brooklyn (Conley, Brogdon) so the Clips can hang on to Reggie.

I would want to keep both Powell and RoCo. Don’t care about the secondary cast, don’t care about Zu, trade any of them as needed if there’s a chance to make a big swing for someone like weirdo Kyrie. But the FO won’t do anything stupid, so this is all just idle chatter, haha
