On iHart (assuming he's gone) Shock: I can't believe he's gone. I'm just numb and can't feel anything right now. Denial: I'm fine. I mite have feelings some where but I just don't know how to share them. Anger: I'm so pissed that he's gone. How the eff could he just leave us. We had a great thing going and he just ups and leaves us hanging. C'mon man. How could you! Bargaining: Could maybe the higher power up there step in or maybe iHart's dad could knock some sense into him and reverse this? Maybe? Guilt: So sorry I/we ever said anything negative (clanked FTs) about him that may have made him want to leave us. Wish I could turn the clock back and change things. Depression: Gonna be soooo sad not to see iHart in a Clips uniform with that super high BBIQ making passes that no 7 footer ever has a right to make. So effing sad. Acceptance: This team will never be the same but our FO has bailed us out before (after all, they found and believed in iHart to begin with) and they'll do it again. Onward and upward Clips.

Big NO to Austin for obvious reasons, namely PTSD suffered from the entire span of the Doc Rivers era. Anthony Gill is a nice mention as a plan B if we do not retain the irreplaceable (imo) Nic Batum!

I don’t get why that’s such a big deal when opt-in and trade always was the more likely scenario. Still feels like the Lakers now have time to put together a deal that works which gets Kyrie paid. The thought he would come for the tpMLE, was always ridiculous to me. I know the report so far is that Kyrie plans to “return to the Nets”, but not even sure if the Nets want him. Even if he agrees to play for a year, they’re going to be in this same situation next year with either paying him or losing him for nothing. With the opt in, they really can just trade him anytime. Obviously only a team that wants to keep him beyond this season will trade anything for him, but I’d be shocked if Kyrie is still a Net beyond February 2023.

I’m still nervous, a team like Charlotte is going to do something stupid like trade Oubre and Rozier for Russ straight up, and those guys can go to Brooklyn with a pick or two from the Lakers for Kyrie. Would be a stupid move by Charlotte to basically get out of Rozier’s deal, but really don’t put anything beyond them. They haven’t made a good move besides changing their name from the Bobcats. Heck there is probably already a handshake deal to get this done at the deadline once 75% of Westbrook’s contract is already paid.

I don’t think Culver will get much above the min, but I don’t think he’ll come here since he won’t get many minutes.

Yes, we are loaded at the wing that’s for sure. This shit show with Brooklyn is not a good look for the league overall. Neither is Ayton forcing his way out of Phoenix. It gives us fans a lot to speculate about which is fun but if we’re entering an era where guys are one and done and hopping around from team to team promiscuously it could become a circus. Maybe our investing in stability will pay off now.

Culver has some real defensive prowess which this team could use in guarding 1 to 3. He could be a nice depth piece if we do make a consolidation trade. However, he probably wouldn’t get much playing time here and I don’t think the FO wants go any deeper than they have to into the luxury tax. His contract value would be too much to take on given his level of play.
