This has got to be one of the biggest pipedreams ever!
I mean nets gave up most there picks till 2027 for harden and then traded harden for Ben Simmons .
Both Ben Simmons and kyrie have there off the court/ injury /I’m not going to play issues, but atleast kyrie when he does play is the real deal.
Nets would have to be so desperate and or kyrie would really have to bluff em out that he will opt out and sign with some cap spaced team in order to force trade him to us! Don’t see it happening , also don’t know if our FO is 100% confident in throwing kyrie into our mix/culture!
Imo nets can’t afford to trade him at all unless it’s for either another superstar, or a bad ass youngster on a rookie contract attached with some picks.
So I think nets and kyrie eventually work it out , we all know nets can’t just extend him 5year and max and we all know kyrie and camp gonna negotiate there very best for him. I’d be surprised if they don’t find a compromise at some point!

I know he had sooooome positive impact. Think he won us a road game, maybe even 2. But watching the list of MLE players evaporate and we land on an (extremely) small ball center was a bummer. I think I was ranting that only the Clippers with our luck would make it to the Western Conference and not be able to acquire a decent vet with the MLE. Meanwhile the players I had my eye on, and it wasn’t some fantastic stretch of the imagination that we would be able to sign, were signing contracts for half less to join a team that hadn’t been in the play off picture for over 2 years and it was still being determined whether Klay Thompson would even see the floor or not. None of this matters anyways, because Justise’s bloated contract was part of the salary we flipped for Norm!]]> I was airing irritation about the Justise signing and you brought up that he was once a high draft pick to calm me down…which of course, it being me, didn’t calm me down 😂 It wasn’t that you were super pro Justise, it was that you weren’t soundly anti. All I remember was thinking we should’ve just re-signed Nico using that money, but I don’t remember being super pro- or anti-Justise…🤔

Hell, even Zu is likely to be on the bench in crunch time – feels like we’re gonna lean into Wing Stop next season.

As the team is currently constructed (not including Hart) there are already 4 players who could see time at center. Granted 3 of those are small Ball C’s. I could make a case for just about every vet minimum center mentioned, even…

Blake: Ideally we don’t net another small Ball center but if you believe in this type of thing, and I do, because I’m a Clipper fan who just watched Draymond Green win his 4th championship… KARMIC RELIEF …yes I know he punched a little guy in the face but “MLK, Obama, Ali, JFK, Lincoln, Gandhi, MJ,Einstein,Mandela…& Griffin?” Glad we duped his butt but I think you know what I mean)

McGhee: it’s been awhile but he might have some Warriors coaching insight

Gorgui Dieng: Is Senegalese and I’ll score some free tickets

I will say there is a lot of me hoping for Dedmon on this site & old Clipsnation posts. If we retain Hart it doesn’t matter that we didn’t obtain Dedmon when his stock was low and that’s what I’m hoping for. As a pessimist I yearn to be wrong ALL the fucking time. I’m not often, gonna honk my horn a little. Did think Marc Gasol was going to be more effective for the Lakers I’ll admit that oversight. Otto Porter Jr & Nemanja going to the Warriors for far less than the MLE while we could only secure Justise Winslow had me looking for a razor blade and it was perplexing to others. Chogo… cough, cough! just about the worst came true and the Warriors GM’s fringe work was rewarded with yet another championship. For future reference when there is a bee under my bonnet it’s not for lack of witnessing despicable nemesis getting bailed out by players taking pay cuts. I wanted Shaun Livingston to be CP3’s backup point guard so badly every year from 2011 on until the Warriors made the right move. So many right moves while Doc had a draft pick allergy. He was giving those things away like they were flyers to an indie band. Fuck! Wrong side of history so far. Go Clips!

We are 8th in the ranking, 5th in the west.
As always, I hope we are healthy all the way.
Next season will be a chance for the team to prove its worth.
Can’t wait.

A vet exciting time for us fanatics (the word “fan” just doesn’t do it justice).

Maybe a few more deals before draft day, then the madness starts on Thursday (for me, more so the deals than the draft itself). And the following Friday starts free agency.

None of our guys are midnight call free agents, and we’re not in the market for anybody else’s. So I will temper my anticipation.

But the Clips are master stealthily traders. So we may wake up one day next week to find we just Picked up a buyout or something equally stunning.

So … here we go!
