Agree about the need to be fearless whenever he has the ball. I suspect that the perceived “not living up to” the contract in part has to do the way he’s been used, and that he might be a better fit on another team with a different system. I personally think he’s not been featured enough.

Luke will hit some big shots in any moment, Wiz comeback game last season is one of them.
Luke/T-Mann/Coffey is 6-5 to 6-7 wing trio who can be flanked by a PG and a center and they can go to work. (maybe another wing or 2 is also a good option)
If a star request a trade and we send him to get one, I won’t be that mad.
But if we keep him and he help shoot us some big prizes, I will be a proud fan.

The guys on the podcast have discussed Luke’s contract — it is on par with other good 3pt shooters, but just by itself, Luke is not living up to the amount of money (4 year/ $56M). Compare Norm Powell (5 year/$90M) and Marcus Morris (4 year/$64M).
I want Luke to do well. He can definitely shoot green 3pt shots. He just needs to be fearless. Not to be a chucker, but having the mentality that he will make every shot taken.

I’m hoping that the Ballys/Sinclair streaming service for $190/year works well. We cut Directv after the end of last season.

As a Luke fan I hope he remains a Clipper. They gave him a substantial contract for a reason and he's proven to be one of the top sharpshooters in the NBA. Aside from the threes, he also drives and finishes at the basket well. If he gets over his hesitancy he may really open some eyes.

Yes! Let’s make him the focal point of our offense until the trade deadline! Get him up to 20 points per game off efficient shooting and he will be a trade chip to get us whatever we want/need (we’ll flip him and Zu for Gobert once twolves realize the gobert/KAT pairing isn’t working and they need more space).

I really hope Luke gets some major minutes and shots to open the season. He’s generally great and I love how he’s improved as a clipper (not easy to do with all of our depth). While I don’t see him as a key piece in a deep playoff run, I think he would be great to provide our guys with some rest in the beginning of the season and I think he is a prime candidate to shop prior to the trade deadline. I don’t see any good reason for him to not play big minutes early in the season, especially since it’s unlikely teams will be targeting on defense in low stakes regular season games.

I’d bet that would be Luke defenders figure all they need is a fake partial close out to trigger his hesitation gene. It may be an ingrained type thing he/they have to live with. But I for one don’t want to give up on the guy for that shortcoming. Just too good a shooter in a brutal league where guys go down like flies.
