He is not a negative on defense and he’s on of our best runners in open court/fast break.

Mann, Luke and Boston take note.

We really nailed that ’19 draft choices. In 3 years, we get 2 rotational wings and Amir is not even in the top 60!
Just love our player development program we have established.
Give Boston & Preston a couple years more and I believe they will follow these same paths.

And as for Ben Simmons, we couldn’t really have beaten what the Nets sent to Philly for him, so as far as I’m concerned I’m ok w/ the Wall/Reggie combo.

Agree on the Mann point though – really hoping he gets a chance to showcase the glue guy/sparkplug traits he showed us when the Clips sent the Jazz to the shadow realm.

In terms of better rebounding PFs, the name that constantly pops up in my “realistic” scenarios is Kuzma – he’s no Reggie Evans, but he’s still a much better rebounder than MM . Julius Randle’s probably also available but he’s got way more problems in his game (defense, selfish offense, etc.) and has a huge contract that make him much less appealing.

Amir is one of those rare 3-D NBA body-type players, who can do pretty much everything well that you ask for an NBA level player.

Especially considering Zu is not in any of our key playoff line ups (when we typically go small), we really need guys who can rebound well at their respective positions. When it comes to Wall and Reggie, we primarily focus on their weak D as far as flaws go. Their poor rebounding is almost as big of a problem. It’s one of the reasons I miss patrick beverley and I generally am interested in trading for point guards who rebound well (I really wanted to go hard after Lonzo or Ben Simmons). Rebounding is the one piece this team is missing. If we could find a great rebounding pg, we could put out a small ball lineup that probably beats more teams in rebounding (batum is a pretty good rebounder).

I think Mann the best candidate on our roster for this. As much as we would like him to be an awesome spot up shooter, if we could instead have him focus on becoming a better passer and rebounder, I think it would better suit our team. We’ve already got a ton of great shooters. If Mann can become this guy who could initiate offense and get the ball to the right guy, our best line up (Mann, norm, PG, Leonard, Batum) would be flawless on both ends of the court.
