Yeah, nostalgia is half the draw. I bought up signed Rodney Rogers and Lamond Murray cards this weekend due to nostalgia not to count a bunch of random singles. Found a sick dual signed Corey/Elton card that the dealer too easily discounted. He was probably happy someone finally took it off his hands.

Yeah I got lucky and got a couple base Tmann prizm rc’s
For cheap before they went up along with the the auto rc’s of his
I’ve also bought “Lot of 10-15 of the same Tmann rc’s from donruss to hoops , etc , for 1$ per card when it was low , there not prizm but rc’s for a 1$ a piece and getting 15-20 cards of someone who you actually like is better then not being able to afford/buy packs boxes and open them.
I buy alot on eBay
Need to learn to sell! Lol
But yeah man I don’t know much about Instagram/social media stuff, I’m pretty dated but willing to learn, I can’t even post a picture on this site. I’m not very tech savvy at all lol!

About older clipper cards
Yeah I bought a ton of Blake Griffin stuff for super cheap before he got bought out by pistons.
I did with the intention of being a fan , not thinking it was a great investment money wise
But they were cheap!! So it’s fun

All my old cards got stolen , had a ton of MJ s Kobe’s and Shaqs
There still a market , guys like me trying to get the cards that were stolen from me back, and just nostalgic reasons I I do even rarely buy some of the old junk wax era cards.
I gotta an hoops card Sam Mitchell or somebody where Jordan is in the background wearing a different number then #23/#45
Because he had lost his jersey or something ? It’s an error card a lot of collectors look for,
I also 6-7 mark Jackson (Knicks)
Hoops card where the “menedez brothers” are clearly sitting courtside in the background .is also considered by some worth more because of the stupid menedez brothers being in the pic

Haha, I hear you but if you can flip the Flipper to fund your personal collection then it’s all good. I miss being able to open boxes and packs but the prices are insane.

That’s cool. It’s crazy how expensive stuff has gotten. I picked up TMann’s prizm and eyeing his signed card on Ebay. Just this weekend alone I picked up a ton of Clipper cards of past and present players.

I’m thinking of starting an Insta account to share Clipper cards and stories around the players/teams across the eras. Know of any existing accounts? I’m surprised there isn’t one or at least an active one.

All our old cards are considered “ the wax junk era” cards were over manufactured , barber shops every liquor stores and every where sold trading cards. Now they don’t make as many making the cards worth more.
I have a 1/5 LeBron card I pulled recently , I paid 500$ for a box
Of unopened packs and hit that rare LeBron card( I hate LeBron btw) but that card is valued somewhere between 3-5 thousand dollars!
Sports cards investing stock is a whole new game from when we were young.
I think if you can afford it dabbling only it again is a great thing Showman, it’s better then sports gambling and when you lose you lose your money, here if you lose you still get a card where a guy can bounce back and you have a chance at recouping some money.

Target was absolutely horrible, I waited to different times morning till 1pm only to get baseball and football cards which were hard to finally trade for basketball cards because that’s all I really wanted. Hopefully they come up with a better system.

I got back in the game during the luka shai trey young draft and am stoked I did because those cards are are ruing at a gaudy rate.
I also posted on here that I invested in a ton of T-Mann rc’s before this season even started. His bubble game made me wanna throw some money on his stock was the perfect time.
I bought 7- autographed t-Mann rc’s (all centered and in great condition for 5$ a piece, now, some are 40-50$ a piece, some being auctioned off for 75-100$

I also have invested a ton in nickel Alexander walker, saddiq bey, Kira Lewis and Malachi Flynn.

Depends on what Portland wants to do – if they’re rebuilding outright, then two lottery picks, Wiseman, and Wiggins isn’t a bad start. But if they want to avoid tanking, they could get better players (e.g. RJ Barrett) from the Knicks or Sixers (e.g. Simmons), albeit without as many immediate draft assets.
