My take on Morris:

1) When he is good, particularly from 3, we are really killing opponents.
2) He is not consistently good.
3) He has done some of the other, not trendy things (defense, small ball 5 etc) but less well than Batum in my opinion.
4) He is a decent option at PF or C but he needs someone next to him for rebounding, defense.
5) He is a bit of a ball hog.

He will be good but we shouldn’t hesitate to trade if we can get something better.

This is kind of silly. Markieff’s “low salary” is still in the millions–I don’t think he needs to live off of anyone but himself. And he’s also not anywhere near as good as Marcus. It’s not like Kieff turned down an 8-figure deal because he knew he had Marcus’ to fall back on. Nobody wanted to give him more than around the minimum. He shot 31.1% from three last year–16.2% worse than Marcus.

Mook can win you some games but I don’t think you want to have him as your number 2 option. Then, it means you have a problem.

The guy is not versatile enough. He basically lives and dies on jump shooting. He does not create for others. He is not big enough to be a threat around the basket. He is not quick enough to cut to the basket. He is not rebounding well for PF and he is on a wrong side of the 30s now. I don’t know, his contract looks even worse to me now, then when it was signed last year.

Probably I am overly negative, but he is one of few Clippers from the current roster which I would like to get rid of. I don’t think it is happening anytime soon, though.

Morris just needs to be more consistent… he can’t even seem to keep up the streaky shooting for a different half let alone a different game.
Also, he should bring his twin brother over from the damn Lakers… can’t believe he is sharing a bank account with that moocher! Markieff is on a minimum salary contract while Marcus got $64 million. Join the Clippers and at least earn part of that pie!!! Pisses me off that Markieff is willing to accept such a low salary since he gets to live off his brother’s earnings.

EVERY. SEASON. It’s rumors that all these Star Players want to go to the Lakers or be traded there. That’s what it is, rumors. We hear it every year so I’m used to it.

Lakers don’t have the money unless DeRozan and Lowry want to take SIGNIFICANT paycut. Why would anyone want to play there when you can go to another team have a better chance at a championship. All they have is LeBron (Aging and injuries) and Anthony Davis (Injury Prone). That’s it. Unless you consider Harrell and Kuzma Star Players…
