This RJ comment shows him to be a supremely honest and vulnerable guy:
“Unless they didn’t want me here, I think I was going to be a Clipper,” he said. “Even then, I was just going to bring my bags and sit on the front door and ask for anything.”
There’s a bit of strengh in being vulnerable. Gotta love it.

Yeah it’s possible he moves into that role at some point, hopefully he’s actually on the team long enough for that transition to take place.

I’m not too worried about him even if he regresses. With Bledsoe on the roster plus hopefully another step forward from Mann, the Clippers should have enough ball-handling to make up for a slip from Reggie.

See where ur coming from on that. The dynamic going for RJ now is that he’s shown his good/great/clutch side (as well as his “shaking my head” side) and so he’s earned a nice long leash to make some mistakes. That will help his mind set and work ethic. He’s truly a “big government” player and I’ll take him over prime Lou Will and Jamal.

Reggie is my biggest worry and simultaneously my greatest hope. I feel like the chances of him reverting back to old, problematic Reggie are about equal to him replicating last season’s Reggie. BUt, I love the guy and am excited to see which way it goes.

Check out brandon boston’s handle and shooting ability. IMO he has the most potential out of all our new rookies to become a really good player. He is a bit of a chucker though. Has that mamba mentality.

I’m expecting good things outta Reggie again the next couple of years. His shooting complements PG13 and Kawhi perfectly, and when the team is fully healthy his weaknesses (defense, playmaking) aren’t huge issues for the Clips.

Also am I the only one seeing echoes of Jamal/Lou? And I meant that in a good way – Reggie is our starting PG for the next couple of seasons, but I could easily see him moved back into a bench role after this contract is up, and I think he’d be great in the instant-offense 6th man of the year role. The ideal scenario for me would be if we could win a ring sometime w/in the next couple of years, Reggie shifts into the Jamal/Lou role afterwards, and Preston develops into the full-time starter.
