I give Sieman a pass this past year. He had to dial-up the shtick likely to cover for the lack of content from being socially distanced from the team. He also had to adjust to another new partner. I hope Jimmy sticks around. Any word on him?

Dude, y’all are way too harsh on Sieman. He’s not Ralph (nobody is), but I really don’t have a problem w/ him as commentator. I do agree that I enjoy Noah’s radio broadcast more than Sieman’s TV, but TV is a different beast entirely than radio. I’d say Sieman’s banter is his weakest point (he should primarily stick to game analysis and commentary), but put a better color guy next to him and I think the broadcast would do just fine.

You know I don’t agree with much of what you say but on this one, I’m closer to you than 5 minutes to 11. Sieman never worked with Ralph (did he?). In fact Sieman, like Noah, was a solo act on the radio. I’m not sure we should copy the Lakes radio format, but they’ve got it right having a play by play guy AND a color guy side kick. So, I nominate Don Maclean (I think you need a former player) to be Noah’s color guy. Any seconds?

I refuse to suffer Sieman and his nonsensical patter during the regular season and mute the Clippers’ TV broadcast while listening to Noah Eagle on radio. The Clippers’ local TV operation is the one weak link in their otherwise excellent organization IMO.

I fear Justise will replace Coffey as Sieman’s favorite wordplay target. “Can we get a little Justise?” “There’s just no Justise in this game.” And God forbid “No Justise no peace!”

OK. New team, presumably healthy now, still young, big city spotlight = adds up to plenty of pressure to perform and even exceed expectations. We’re definitely gonna see what this guy’s made of.

Justise definitely fits with the offseason theme of “retain our core guys, and then take flyers on as many lotto tickets as possible outside of that.” Between him and Boston, we’ve got two recent top-10 recruit reclamation projects on the team, so maybe Justise can help mentor Boston and show him the ropes of being a pro.
