Love MacLean, perfect as a color guy. He has a lot going on with his work with young players, but it would be cool if he could make the time.

He had to dial-up the shtick likely to cover for the lack of content from being socially distanced from the team. He also had to adjust to another new partner. I hope Jimmy sticks around. Any word on him?

He’s not Ralph (nobody is), but I really don’t have a problem w/ him as commentator. I do agree that I enjoy Noah’s radio broadcast more than Sieman’s TV, but TV is a different beast entirely than radio. I’d say Sieman’s banter is his weakest point (he should primarily stick to game analysis and commentary), but put a better color guy next to him and I think the broadcast would do just fine.

Sieman never worked with Ralph (did he?). In fact Sieman, like Noah, was a solo act on the radio. I’m not sure we should copy the Lakes radio format, but they’ve got it right having a play by play guy AND a color guy side kick. So, I nominate Don Maclean (I think you need a former player) to be Noah’s color guy. Any seconds?

The Clippers’ local TV operation is the one weak link in their otherwise excellent organization IMO.

Hope I’m wrong.

New team, presumably healthy now, still young, big city spotlight = adds up to plenty of pressure to perform and even exceed expectations. We’re definitely gonna see what this guy’s made of.
