I think he should be very available for the right move… I just don’t see any of the really great possibilities (like Rubio or Holiday) being realistic. As we get into the swing of things in a few weeks there will be tons of chatter, guys will become available, teams will blow up their roster, someone will draft a new PG and want to trade their veteran, etc. We’ll have to see what opportunities emerge.

I think this is why there Bev might become a casualty of a trade for need. You’re right, he’s a role player and not a 3rd star, but for the Clippers, the lineup metrics express that his performance is as important to the team as a 3rd star would be. And as you say, because the issue is how infrequently he stays on the floor, I don’t think you can rely on that for the upcoming season. In my mind, the probability of him being moved is high, as is Lou Williams.

(I agree that Kawhi forcing the PG13 trade was a mistake, but you’re being far too harsh on PG/Kawhi and the defeatism about the Clippers’ hopes next year is just silly)

I can definitely see Ballmer bringing the hammer down on Paul George. I’ll never be able to relax with a lead in a playoff game so long as that guy is in a Clipper jersey. On Kawhi’w part, for the chemistry of this team, I think he needs to apologize to the rest of the team for forcing the PG13 trade. It feels depressingly concrete that this team is never going to reach the Western Conference Finals, and his lack of confidence in Danilo and Shai paired with his inability to recognize the flexibility that 5 first round picks would provide, is a HUGE factor.
Greenlight to a PG13 exit/a guarantee that Leonard will be a Clipper for years to come, would be the start of an apology. I’m expecting one of those.

All i can see is you have pg13 missing and added Jrue. So if we trade playoff peeper I think we would be able to get more back then just Jrue. I don’t know how much more it depends on who we trade with/how many team trade it ends up being and so forth. To be fair, the Clippers had the #2 offense in the NBA last season, even with Kawhi/PG both missing a bunch of games.
