But if Miami is serious about opening up a max spot for Giannis/2021
I think they do low ball dragic , or they give him a big 1year contract or they seek to SnT him.
Obviously Rubio and rondo and maybe cp3 will me more readily to be moved .
So maybe let Trez walk , do whatever/say whatever we need to to get rondo then we could get first or second choice of full mle backup centers, ibaka, gasol, baynes.

What’s infuriating about the Lakers is that their shit NEVER stinks. The media loves nothing more than milking the crap out of that franchise (re: when they suck it’s “is a revival on the horizon???” and when they’re good it’s “potential dynasty???”), and their fans are delusional regardless of whether their team is a dumpster fire or a championship team.

I read that the suns might go after Fred Van Fleet and so a Rubio trade could be beneficiary to both us or,,like you said they want booker to be ball dominant harden-style then trading Rubio also makes sense.
Imo bae is not a lot of money don’t think it gets us baynes, I think gasol for bae we’d be lucky but it just depends on what gasol/baynes/Noel are thinking if they want to be clippers that bad to pass on money?!
I thing the only way we get serge is SnT or he takes the full mle. I’d be surprised if ibaka would take the taxed mle and I think it’s impossible ibaka takes the bae.

PG in 2018-19 was a legit MVP candidate–finished in 3rd. Last year he was hurt, so he played fewer games and fewer minutes, but the per minute and per possession data lines up with his great 2019 campaign.

I like all your ideas. There is that risk with a CP injury but my thoughts are that those injuries always seemed to happen when he was carrying too much load and trying to will the team to victory all by himself. With Kawhi and PG he could play much more cerebrally and set everyone else up to for the heavy lifting. If not CP then my priorities would be Ibaka and somehow Rubio. If Booker is going to be the Suns Harden now then Bev is a better compliment for them and Ricky is a better compliment for us. I’d hate to lose Bevs D but it would appear that he’s going to have to come off the bench regardless of which point guard we get and won’t be happy with that. Let Trez walk, trade Bev for Ricky and sign Serge to non-taxpayer MLE (not sure if re-signing current players counts against the tax???). Maybe land yet another big with the BAE—–Plumlee? Gasol? Baynes?

Don’t think getting rid of all of our depth for cp3 is the right trade. If cp3 gets injured we’re fucked! If one of our depth pieces gets injured we can still manage due to strong depth.
I think letting Trez walk we could potentially open up the full non tax players Mle and a bae. That way we can add 2 players potentially replacing Trez and adding a real pg.
dragic for the non tax mle could work then use the bae for a Dwight , gasol, plumlee cheap Trez replacement. Or we use the full mle to go after backup center for a guy like ibaka, Baynes,etc . And then use the bae to sign a cheap pg like rondo
Or somebody. We could also trade for Rubio in combination with either one of these ideas as well if the suns are interested .
I think spending the full mle on a og like dragic and the bae in back up centers(which there will be a lot of em on the cheap) is the best way to go as oppose to spending the the full mle on a backup position in which we already have Zu and only having the bae to get a rondo type pg which there are not a lot of options at cheap bae level pg’s out there.

If we let the Trez walk and opened up the non tax payers mle and a bae which positions would you guys want to spend the money on ? Bae on backup center or pg? And mle on back up center or pg?
I would rather spend the full mle on a pg
