Doc is a PR guy, he knows what to say to the media.
He’s not with us anymore, it is now Morey’s job to take care of him. 🙂
For Playoff rotation, I guess we may be looking at something like this.
Starters : Bev-PG-Kawhi-Mook-Zu
Reserves : Kennard (Guard), Batum (Forward), Ibaka (Big)
We revamp the bench units and improve playmaking at G/F and also shooting & rim protection at the big. I hope Batum can be the guy he was 2 years ago with 9/5/3 stat line & 45/39/86 shooting split. If we have 8 solid guys for playoff, then it’s only 30mpg each. Even 1 of them is injured, it bumps up to around 34mpg.
Wild card: Lou & Reggie are the vet guards while Mann & Coffey are the young G/F.
Now coaches can play around the edges with 2+2 for extra bodies. You want more offenses and shooting, put Lou or Reggie in.
You want more energy and defense, Mann & Coffey will be ready to go.
2Pat/Fi/Oturu is the 13th guy on the bench. They will be only the emergency card for back-up big.
This is just my speculation and I would like to see how our team play out for their role.

I’ll forever have a soft spot for Doc – he was the rock the team needed during the Sterling fiasco. That being said, Doc the person >> Doc the coach. Curious to see which dude on the 76ers he decides to overplay, consequences be damned. My money’s on Seth Curry – I wonder if Doc will leave him in there even when Spoelstra is specifically drawing up plays for Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro to expose him on defense.

In past interviews, Doc said that the losses (and not the wins) are what bothers to him the most — if that was true, why didn’t he make adjustments in that Denver series when Trez was getting beaten up by the Joker. We’ve seen too much of Doc’s stubbornness to move off from his “trusted” veterans. If Ty Lue can move off the past mistakes and make on the fly adjustments, we’ve a good chance of going deeper in the Playoffs. I don’t know about you guys, I’m still pretty bitter and salty about the implosion (yet again) by our beloved team.

Sounds like last year’s team except 2Pat is a downgrade from JMG. 2Pat is another guy I can’t believe is only 31 since he moves like he’s 36.

Maybe Lue will better utilize 2Pat situationally like he did Channing Fry.

I’ve no issues with his contract.

We don’t need PatPat to do much at all.

I’m expecting 80% of our bench scoring to come through our guards and Serge.

Batum and PatPat are there as glue guys and to play some defence.
