Watching gleague highlights of FI make him look like a baller lol.
The highlights where T.Mann is playing with shows they have good chemistry, kinda reminds me of the Lou Trez 2man game. Mann has thrown some nice lobs and they both make it look so natural and effortlessly. I think this is by design, the FO instructs them to work together when playing gleague games so that at some point when they get minutes together on the clippers they can play there game.
Fi’s dunks kinda trip me out, they look like he can soar a bit, while he’s soaring to the rim it always looks like he’s not up high enough in the air and I expect him to get rejected by the rim on his dunk however he finishes and it makes his dunks look epic in a way!! Lol I’m serious, obviously it’s just gleague so I’m not hyping him up
He’s playing against less skilled players for sure but it does make you think if he’s given some minutes on the clippers he could develope into a rotational player.
Hopefully this is what the FO thinks as well and we will see this season what FI has improved on and if he’s worthy to battle Coffey and or other players for a roster spot.
I also watched some Daniel Oturu stuff and if his handles are as good as some of his highlights show he very well could make us applaud the FO for taking the guy . If he can dribble, spin and blow by slower defenders and hit some threes along with playing some D he might just prove to be a project worth giving time to in garbage, time /load management situations.
Again highlights of these don’t mean shit, every players highlights make them look fantastic, but I thought I’d share my thoughts.

I’m anxious to see how a lot of our guys look under a new coaching culture—especially the younger players. When you already know you’re on a short lease you overthink things and play worse. Let’s see what a lighter atmosphere does for everyone. OT but I hope we don’t sit our starters tonight too. I think we should do something nasty like bury their others by 40. Be the bad guys and piss everyone off.

As a first round pick, I still have high hopes for Fi, and just wasn’t given an opportunity to show anything last year given the depth at PF/C.

But I also have very low expectations, given when he did see the floor, he definitely didn’t have even any flashes of showing he’s a rotation NBA player. Mann had many more flashes of being a solid NBA player, but he was given a lot more opportunity given the lack of depth and injuries at the PG spot.

Fi has a great comp to work with this year in Serge, and ideally, he could be a very poor man’s Serge if forced into rotation minutes.

My expectations for Fi this season are basically “don’t embarrass yourself out there,” and “give me a reason to think that the team can survive when you’re on the floor” – this is pretty much the same set of expectations I had for Jerome.
