Disagree on his defense.. He looked good when he was out there especially in the bubble when he shared the floor with actual rotational players.. Do I think he has great upside, no, but he’s good as a spot minutes defensive guy & 3rd string wing.. If he can improve on his shooting he can become a decent to solid backup..

As I noted in the Mann preview, I prefer him getting min until Mann stops playing hesitant.. I rather have someone shooting & missing over someone who’s reluctant to shoot.. You play into the defenses hands by not being willing to shoot.. Excited to see what he & the fsu boys bring to the table this year cuz they’re gonna get some run

I love where ty lues head is at. He said he doesn’t wanna see iso ball and he even said he’s gonna implement Kobe and MJ plays for Kawhi. Even thinking of throwing in some triangle offense. Whether it works or not, the fact that he is thinking this way is very encouraging!

All I’m expecting out of Coffey this year is that he occasionally provides Sieman with the chance to bust out more coffee puns.

Seriously though, he’s fine as a 13th/14th guy, and him blossoming into more than that would be a huge surprise.
