The Clippers can approach Trez–or Morris, or Green–right now about what they’re thinking in free agency. They can’t technically reach a verbal agreement (because legally those are binding in the NBA and binding agreements can’t be made until the FA window opens), but the Clippers can say “Hey Marcus we’re planning on offering you 3/36 when the window opens” and Marcus can say “I’d like to return and am looking for a deal in the 3/36 range and won’t take other meetings.”

You just can’t have that convo with, say, Serge Ibaka.

Did not sound like a given or that they all “ know kawhi “ degenerative quad “ is going to need load management for the rest of his career. But Lou did say the health of our players is important. If he healthy and kawhi is ok with not load managing I’ll be a lot happier.

If like how Lou did say kawhi and pg13 or going to have to adjust to him on getting everything out of them that he can maximize. Lou was mum on Trez.
