Still hard to fault Doc given I think a lot of the players on the team also really didn’t want to be there. I really feel like it was a lot of just on how individuals handled that situation, and the Clips did not handle it well.

That being said, I think on the Bill Simmons Pod Doc also referred to the bubble as like a “godforsaken place”. If your so-called “leader” doesn’t want to be there and doesn’t push the right buttons to get the best out of that situation, I definitely can see guys also getting really down on being in the bubble.

I give credit to the Lakers for winning that Championship, but at the same time, it’s just a completely different situation than any other championship in NBA history.

Just feels like he fits more of a positional need if he can play the 4. Also feel like teams are going to to just need a ton of big bodies to throw at Jokic if they want to get past Denver. A front line of Zu, Porzingis, and Plumlee would be a solid rotation of supersized bigs for the right matchup. Curious if his cost would be less or more than Beal. Salary matching would be easier, but not on a horrible contract, younger, and probably a better fit. Maybe his short contract, injury history, and cost to resign/extend will scare a lot of teams off of Porzingis as well.

Beal only scares me in that his no trade clause gets passed on, and if they decide to do a full rebuild in a few years, it gets really hard to trade him. That being said, opportunities of getting a star of his caliber on the cheap due to his salary and that no-trade clause don’t come around that often. I think if you can make the deal for Beal, you do it and figure it out later.

EJ’s contract is probably a lot more appealing in the Beal deal as it gets them out of a lot of money right away. Porzingis they have much less incentive to just trade him for expirings, which puts the Clips at a disadvantage. But again, not sure many teams are throwing a lot at the Wizards for Porzingis either. He was just dealt as one of the worst contracts in the league. Don’t think teams want to get in that situation again with Porzingis’ next contract.

Played 65 games last season with pretty impressive numbers. He would solve both our third scoring option and power forward problems as well as backup center. Maybe we still keep Plumlee on the cheap.

Would Gordon and Mook and #30 get this done?

Doc recently compared himself to Red Auerbach and Phil Jackson LOL

I’m down on Ty, but I’m not trying to write a novel about all the ways he disappointed us last season.

There really is nothing exciting about PG and Kawhi anyway.

I agreed w/ everything except for this. PG13 and Kawhi are electric…when they play. I’m still 100% convinced that if we randomly held a 7-game series w/ our entire roster healthy we could’ve given Denver a run for their money. The problem is we have to play 82 games + a few playoff series just to get to that 7-game series against Denver, and PG13 and Kawhi just can’t make it through that marathon. It sucks that we won’t ever get to see the peak that this team could’ve reached.

Even if you trade away his favorite dead weight (Morris), what makes us feel he won’t do an all guard lineup again. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good coach but someone who was unprofessional for a good portion of the season should not be rewarded. For what exactly? Past accomplishments? Same goes for PG and Kawhi. If the team can find a way to unload their stars for young talent and picks, I’d be all in. Giving players too much power is the biggest failure for Ballmer who I really like and respect. Have this be a punt year year and start all over next year with fresh talent. I’m sure they would be more box office than the current stars. There really is nothing exciting about PG and Kawhi anyway.

Bad enough to the point where you could be forgiven for thinking he was intentionally sabotaging us just to prove a point and stick it to the FO.
