Would be interesting to see him playing in LA against his former team. He would definitely have a chip on his shoulder. LA is his hometown and he’s coming off his 3rd year on 37% 3pt shooting, 7 assists, 6 RBS and 1.4 steals. He has a low usage rate, doesn’t need to dribble a lot to find the open guy. Current contract is $11 mil. Is it too high? Apparently the Pels are taking trade offers.

The one issue I see right now is he signed back with Klutch.

You could have easily kept JaMychal Green for less, and Crowder/Green would have at least left you in a strong enough position to have leverage on Morris negotiations.

But, this would have been dependent on Toronto wanting to help us, and I have a feeling they won’t be doing that after we stole Kawhi.

Crowder, Saric, Augustin, or retained JMG.

And retain the MLE? But at this point, I don’t think there’s anyone left to use the MLE on.

If this was as simple as using the BAE and Min, I think they would’ve done that. Maybe guys left are still looking for above BAE level compensation, but for the guys left on the board, I don’t think there’s anyone that really is going to get more than the BAE.

I also feel like Reggie Jackson is coming back one way or another. I feel like there would’ve been some interest from other teams in the league for him by now, but it’s just so quiet on his end as well. I feel like Clips have agreed to bring him back, but maybe just need to figure out what they can pay him once the dust settles.

I tried to think about trades, but at this point I can’t even figure out who’s one what team. Problem with trading Lou is that given his age and contract he’s only valuable to a contender who thinks they can use him. I guess if you attach the Detroit 2nd rounders, you could send him as salary filler. I do wonder if he’s sent at just salary filler, if he’d get bought out and join Trez on the Lakers. At this point in his career I feel like he’d value staying put over moving to another new city.

The random trade I could think of is trying to get him to reunite with Doc, so like a LouWill for Mike Scott and Korkmaz deal. Doubt the 76ers do that, but Doc can’t quit having a 6th man of the year off the bench. Given they added Danny Green and Seth Curry at the guard spot and have less of a need for Lou, and Mike Scott is needed with a lack of big men with Horford gone, probably too much to give up for the 76ers.
