I never understood Clippers fans need to bench him His biggest ability is he elevates Paul George. If you want the best with Paul George you have to start Russ. Additionally, benching Russ leads to a bench unit with 6’3″ Russ, 6’3″ Powell, and 6’3″ Bones. They’ll be able to run and push the pace but they will be eaten alive on defense.

I also like how TL said Russ will be the 1 and harden the 2. This again is important and didn’t understand fans logic with taking the ball out of Russ’s hand. By having Russ on ball and initiating the offense means his defender has to honor him more. Putting him off ball means his defender is the one coming to double team whoever has the ball.

For those of you who hate small ball, I hate to break it to you, but this trade increases that. giving more space for Russ to act as a cutter off ball and on small small pick in rolls will cause havoc for teams who want to leave him open.
