OK—guess that explanation will have to do. Just looked at the skedge for all the PO teams and there are a number of games at that same time slot so I’d say we’re not being singled out.

We are old. Old, old, OLD. It’s harder to adjust to changes to your routine when you get older. I’m not sure offhand what our record was this season for day/afternoon games, but I recall it being pretty bad last time this got brought up…

OK, so why again exactly does this particularly impact the Clippers to a greater extent than the the Mavs? Or, to put it another way, aren’t both teams =ly disadvantaged so no advantage?

I guess what I’m saying is that I just don’t like playing the excuse game generally. I get that the early start time in some way reduces the size of the audience but that should in no way affect play quality or effort.

Another way to think of this is that perhaps some of the visiting Mavs will be tempted to take advantage of the LA nite life Sat nite and not get much much rest that nite while the Clips would be ensconced in their own beds — one could hope.

I agree with Rob on the Pod that I enjoy the NBA Playoffs the most.

The silver lining about the 12:30 starts — it allowed the Clippers to be introduced to a generation of younger fans. We’re never going to come close to the size of the Lakers fanbase, but we’re making a sizeable dent.

When my daughter was still a toddler, we ran into Chuck the Condor in the concourse of Staples Center. He reached for her to give her a high five, but instead, she gave him the full hand stop to stop approaching, but she did waive at him.

Keegan Murray is such a good prospect.
Dude is a big wing who can shoot and he looks calm and collected all the time. Wish we can get him but IDK how can we do it.
And Sabonis is such a beast.
Kings vs OKC should be a good series, will root for them.

Am repeating myself here but more data came in tonight. Lakers outshot the Pels 14-9 from deep and Kings outshot the Warriors 18-10. It is very rare that the team that shoots better from deep loses an NBA game. So for all the X’s and O’s and defensive rotations and who’s going to post up who and lobs and putbacks this series is going to come down to which team outshoots the other from deep in 4 games first. I think we have that advantage by a mile with or without Kawhi. If we do a serviceable job in the other aspects of the game and let it rip I like our chances–a LOT.

This is just blatant favoritism trying to help Luka and the Mavs advance. AT OKC at 6:30 as the night cap make scheduling sense? The only rationale—and it’s not much better—is that this offered ABC peak hours to sell more expensive ad buys. Can’t wait to see how they screw NOLA or SACTO in the OKC series to give the Thunder their best opportunity to advance. Only Zion could have swayed these politics and it appears he’s out or on his way out.

Only positive is that Kawhi not only practiced today but signed on for the Olympic squad which doesn’t sound like a guy planning to have season-ending surgery.
