Taking nothing away from Reggie’s contributions during the regular season, my problem with Reggie in the playoffs is his defense. He can get away with it somewhat during the regular season, but playoff-caliber teams and coaching will zero in on it as a key weakness to exploit and it can cost games. Ty Lue will have to be nimble, and I am confident he will turn to other options (TMann) if he needs to.

Clippers in six sounds right. There’s always one game where the other team is just better that night, and the Clippers always seem to have a stupid loss in them. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s only 5 games. With a couple of those games where it seems lost and then they put their foot on the gas in the 4th, or something. I like this team a lot. But I admit there are plenty of question marks.

I think he tried so much last year to just fit in with our depth, learn our plays, teammates etc,
This year he got a full year in an actual role, and even an elevated role because of Bev injury and Lou on the move.
That’s gotta be one the main reasons right there along with coaching staff and players giving him confidence and belief in him.

For sure, on paper this year, healthier, additions of serge rondo ty Lou , no bubble, hca, more chemistry, also imo Dallas being a tad worse team then last year, I’m surprised no predictions of sweep but also not surprised after last year Everybody much more conservative! Lol

I think Reggie already earned the starter role, just like Zu but
Yeah Bev with rondo ibaka batum off the bench with staggered pg13 or kawhi
The only small issue with that is when you need some offense, pg13 seems like he’s the only one who create for himself.
In a perfect world Bev steps up
And Reggie becomes that second player on the 2nd unit that can create for himself.

I think Reggie will be fine this year. I don’t want to make excuses, but he was new to the team and the bubble threw everything out of whack last year. Plus it helps that Reggie isn’t as central to the current team as JJ and Trez were for those teams – for better or worse, Doc rode the Lou-Trez duo regardless of how well (or poorly) it was working, and those Lob City teams were heavily reliant on JJ’s shooting and teams were able to scheme specifically to shut it down because there weren’t any other deadeye shooters on those rosters. Whereas all the current team is asking from Reggie is to minimize the TOs, take and make a couple of wide open set shots, and occasionally bailing the team out late in the shot clock when the offense stalls.
