I recall on TLTJTP, someone was making the argument that if Reggie was just a super consistent player putting up 17 points every game on 39% FG% and 32% 3FG%, the Clippers are a far worse team. The fact that he will one night put the team on his back and score 30 points on 5/6 from 3 pt range, but shoot 1/9 the next night, actually wins the Clippers more games.

I do kind of agree with that idea. He was good enough to probably singlehandedly be the difference maker in like 10 games this year. Meanwhile it is probably much harder to singlehandedly lose your team a game (although probably still possible), and even in bad shooting games he was dishing assists, controlling tempo, and being the primary ball handler. If there’s one thing you can’t criticize him for, it would be the effort put in this year.

I would probably still give him a B, just given his inconsistency and generally poor shooting. When your stats across the board are worse than like a Terry Rozier, I don’t think you can say it was a great season. I think B is still a pretty solid grade. I was okay with B’s in school.
