Same with radmonovich back in the day. Can’t say the same for the rest of the guys you mentioned.
Batum is a really nice vet role player , defense knock down some threes, cut to the rim for passes to get easy dunks and some nice blocks/D . Can’t expect any more from him. In a series he’s totally capable to make a game winning play on defense or offense like horford just did for Celtics. He’s perfect in that role . The big contract he was given was always seen as an overpay but I’d rather see a player like him get overpaid then Russ Westbrook type player

It was something to watch.

After being bought out by Charlotte, we really didn’t know what he had left in the tank. Was he going to be another in the long list of washed out Clipper SFs the likes of Danny Granger, Grant Hill, Hedo Turkoglu, Jared Dudley, Jeff Green, Lance Stephenson, Wes Johnson, Paul Pierce, etc.? Instead he came in and immediately was maybe the most successful minimum signing since Matt Barnes, probably even better.

2020-2021 was such an A++ signing that it’s hard to continue that enthusiasm, even though he was almost the exact same player this season. Maybe you’re even a little disappointed he didn’t take a bigger role given Kawhi was out and Batum was primarily the starter in his place this year (although played fewer minutes), but I understand that’s not the player he is. I mean you feel bad giving him even a B, considering his numbers are almost exactly the same as last year, but I mean when assigning grades, it’s natural to adjust for expectations. Living up to expectations would usually result in a B for me.
