Some other members or maybe it was Corey M. on Clippers Live that called Zubac: Zublocka, but Zubac reminds me of a reliable character from Star Wars — Chewbacca. We all need a friend like Chewbacca in our life. We all need a solid 5 on a Championship Clippers team. Zubac is the one!

There was some headline I didn’t click on talking about how Durant had one of the best seasons as a 33 year old in the league ever. I’m in the Celts don’t get past Middleton camp/ have seen Smart pass to the opposing team again, and again and aga…..

It’s my guess that the Celtics are the ones who get Durant. Of course another FO could look at Brown+whoever the additional player is and say “I’m willing to top that” but I think the Nets would be hard pressed to find another trade that succulent

man that is tough. I do love the move they’ve already made after making it to the finals, so I would have them as likely favorites in the east already.

BUT… I think if I were them and could get KD and keep Tatum, I probably bite the bullet and do it. Not sure what got unlocked for them in the 2nd half of last season, but that run they went on was really something. Still, I’m not sure I 100% trust that run to the finals. I mean if Middleton is healthy for the series with Milwaukee, still feels pretty unlikely they even get past that point. It also wasn’t that long ago that Smart was viewed as a below average point guard and put into every possible trade rumor for the Celtics. A solid defender, but they were bringing in another point guard every year to play next to him. Feels like if they trade him this summer, they’re probably getting peak value for Smart.

KD’s age is a concern, but he hasn’t shown any signs of a slowdown yet. I guess the main concern for him will be staying healthy. They already weren’t that deep, but added some depth with Brogdon and Gallo. Adding KD and suddenly they become a very shallow team again. Maybe the Clips can help them out with some depth…. Horford for Morris and Kennard, haha.

I don’t think I’d do that deal as Celts, that’s a ton to give up for an older player, no matter how good, especially when you were just in the Finals

Celtics offered Brown & Derrick White & a draft pick (unknown which) for KD. Nets say Brown starts the convo but they want Marcus Smart instead of White. If I’m the Celtics I do it. The way they are currently constructed they have enough depth to lessen the blow.
