Yea, I kind of wrapped up rebounding into defense. Defense/rebounding. Basically need Zu insurance.

That all being said, I still like Trez as a player. I don’t know what went on in the locker room, still feels like Lou/PatBev/Trez thought they were still the “stars” of the team but didn’t get the same treatment at PG and Kawhi. So I understand that they had to go. But Trez did play with all his heart and that I appreciate. Obviously you hope he’s been humbled a bit, and if he was offered a comeback tour with the Clips, you hope he would be willing to take on any role. Obviously, I don’t know what’s going to happen to him legally too.

His REB% is okay (very similar to Hartenstein) and at least you know he’ll try. I actually have always liked his size and athleticism as a POTENTIAL mobile big on defense, but I know he’s just a bad defender. I don’t know if there is some room for improvement with the right coaching or if he’s just a lost cause on that end. Still, for your 15th man, Trez wouldn’t be a bad talent regardless of his of deficiencies. Probably would put him 3rd in my remaining FA center pool (Whiteside, Dwight, Trez), but I wouldn’t be all that upset if he came back.

I think I was more stoked about this than the John Wall signing, not that I don’t like the John Wall signing. It bodes well for a longer period of time into the future for the team.

I would think at this point any starting job is pretty much taken, and most back up jobs too. I feel like a center looking at the Clippers roster has to view it as there being a real opportunity here. Similar to John Wall coming, with Reggie being the only true PG, I think he saw it as a place that he would have a role.

At this point a center has to look at the Clippers roster and just really see Zubac as the only other big man and really think there is an opportunity there even if they say they’re going to go small often. One injury or in the right matchup, and there is a big role for them.

Whiteside only might be a little different because he had a solid year for the Jazz and the Jazz roster is seemingly in a bunch of turmoil. I think that’s one place where he could have a huge role if they keep Mitchell and still try and be competitive.

I think as constructed the only way the Bulls give up on Vuc’s bird rights is if everything goes to crap for them this season. They are due a playoff visit, so I’d say the basketball gods will shine upon them.
Steven Adam’s serves at a wise vet head and fills a needed position with the Griz.
NOW…one can’t help but drift back to the fantasy of Myles Turner. I’d give up Mook, Preston and more for Turner for sure. He’s currently only 25. I wonder what the Pacers are hoping for in return.

Would hate to consolidate good players/depth to western team in grizz for adams, even though his strength and game would be perfect for rebounding with all our shooters, his contract per is just way too much imo

Maybe and maybe bulls utilize Drummond more and see some of our depth as needed to surround there pretty good team and are willing to sacrifice vucavic but even then I would imagine draft capital would be needed!
Nurk i thought would of been great for our team especially with the norm ROCO portland connection
But blazers got me all tripped out trying to understand what there trying to do. If dame gets traded
Nurk could be available after December I would imagine!

However at this point
The only thing that could be it imo is they’re waiting for whiteside to take our min knowingly he’s basically backup center that might only get third string spot minutes due to the nba being transparent with him that we gonna play a ton of small ball to batum and ROCO Morris to get these guys the extra minutes they deserve!

Yeah defense is important
Rebounding might be more important, we got so many shooters/gunners, offensive and defensive rebounds just give our guys more “pick your poison attempts”
I will say this , if they don’t add a center that we’re stoked on
I’d be perfectly ok with calling diabate up here there, and if we add another center to the 2nd 2 way spot even better.
Only problem with that would be if the 2nd 2way center took away usage/development from diabate during the gleague season?

Even at 35% from three, that level on decent volume plus his defense and transition play would make him a rotation guy, albeit back of rotation

in a vacuum, I feel like Trez and Cousins are obviously very skilled basketball players and a little surprised they’re both still out there as free agents. Just neither interest me to fill the role the Clips need from their center.

Defense, defense, and more defense should be the primary objectives of whoever they bring in, and Trez and Cousins just aren’t those guys.
