Apparently, he got signed to a 2-way 16 days after being cut and clearing wavers. July 26th, 2025

The point of trading Norm was to get value off a guy they would not extend.

I think he can play at both ends, but if Beal is healthy we’re probably too deep at that position for him to see much playing time.

That, in my mind, defeats the purpose of trading Norm to get Collins because the point was to move Kawhi to the #3 and play with real size on the weak side to help with defensive rebounding when Zu is busy dissuading driving guards and bigs in the paint. It’s Ty Lue doing Ty Lue things.

We don’t have many SF on this team so he has value in that regard. It was either him or Amir and while Amir is probably better overall we couldn’t keep him and navigate the cap so JM will have to do as a 12-15.

But these guys were all a cut above (or more) compared to JM and so they were given plenty of rope to show that they could improve that shot. I think it was Gordon who changed his thumb position and made strides. Plus nba shooting coaches have jobs based on their results. Having said all that, Jordan just doesn’t seem to be able to get it done from the outside. He seems much more focused on his “garbage” style of offense rather than on his outside shot (where his emphasis has to be at this stage). As Robt says: now or never.
