I think in general just from following the NBA fans of contending teams frequently have the least amount of fun

Given what we experienced w/ Lob City and now 213, I’ve been pondering about the cause of why I always seem to enjoy our “scrappy underdog” seasons more than our “contender” seasons. Like, I’m sure part of it is the disappointment about us falling short of those lofty expectations, but I wonder how much of it is also due to me being a relatively old Clippers fan. Like I’ve been so conditioned to enjoy “competent but hardworking” teams over the years because that was the most I could reasonably ever expect out of the rosters I grew up watching, so even now “legit contender” is kind of an unusual situation that I’m still not fully sure how to process. There’s probably a certain amount of nostalgia there for me when I watch an undertalented team grind their way to playoff contention that just isn’t there for me when we have squads that look like they *should* actually be a title contender.

Anyways, Ima stop thinking – it’s the offseason and my brain is still hibernating – the point is I’m also very excited for this upcoming season. Hopefully we see a squad that works hard and surpasses expectations – I think I’d be pretty satisfied w/ a hard fought 1st round exit.

Kyle Anderson would be awesome for the Clippers, he’d be a perfect fifth starter to add more playmaking

If the Kawhi we get is 2024 playoffs Kawhi, then he might just be cooked, which would obviously be awful

I admit that I am excited about the coming season.

I expect some trades before the season begins due to the excess guards.

As for Leonard, He always gives what he has. He plays to win, unlike a certain someone who is no longer on the Clipper team.

I also expect Zu to be a 15 to 17-point game player with double-digit rebounds.

Let the games begin.

Too many questions: Kawhi, Beard, will Coach f*ck up again?

Regular season is one thing, but Playoffs is a completely different story.

Nice to see everyone back from summer break and get back to cooler weather and hoops.

Scroll down and saw the names on additions list and it’s like, why those names are quite familiar. Then I realized that’s Clips section!
Like Isaiah Crawford for the Kings. He might not play much that he has good size for this position and seems to know how to play. (Dude model his game after Kawhi, that’s another plus)
A bit annoying to see Kyle Anderson on the Warriors, he will fit right in. Want to see him on our team.
Teams in this division can finish as listed above or the ranking can flip upside down and I won’t be surprised.
I still like our chance against anyone.

In terms of Kawhi, I/we will be sorely disappointed if the Kawhi we see take the floor this season in any way resembles the Kawhi we saw stink up the joint in last years POs. He was flat out terrible and that was due to him hurting. He’s had a ton of time to get right so hope springs eternal.
