In general, I don’t understand the definition of “best offer”. Does it mean the best that they CAN offer, or the best that they SHOULD offer (i.e. best value exchange)? From some of the clickbait i see, there seems to be an opinion that the Clippers SHOULD offer more assets, that is, give up whatever Philly wants so they can get Harden no matter the price. And that the Clips are stupid for being circumspect. Shrug.

RE Harden: Right now it’s a stalemate. Some say it’ll take a third team aiming to get James to get the Clips to make their “best offer.” Could be the case — or not. It’s just amazing to me how the Clips manage to keep their thinking and strategy so buttoned up. Almost a leak proof operation.

Obviously we’d all be stoked to get a shot a Dame but it seems like a bit of a reach and Harden might be a better fit anyway. Both are egocentric players but Harden has a better capacity to make teammates better iMHO. I Feel like with Dame there could be a struggle as to whether it’s his team or Kawhi’s. Just doesn’t totally compute for me but of course I would be gushing if we were able to land him.

The NBA cracking down on Dame and his agent might be more than just a warning. The league might be setting the stage for Dame to be traded to ‘Not Miami’. The league is really frowning upon players and agents aggressively telling teams that the player won’t play for them. They’ve said more such comments could subject Dame or his agent to discipline. The Clippers could be in the Dame mix as part of a multi-team trade if the league wants to send a firm message here.

I think Anthony Black is a major upgrade for Orlando. I do think they have a shot at a play in spot. Washington will be better. Could be a 35-40 win team.Basically, I see a lot of parity in the league and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a similar regular season as 22-23 with only about 4 teams being truly terrible and a lot of teams at 38-43 wins.

Yeah it all depends on LaMelo if he returns to form and Miller is Him they could surprise and get into the 30s win wise. 27 as the floor and 33 as the ceiling seems fair.

I think I’m higher on the Hornets here. They finished above 0.500 in 21-22, with a lot of the same guys, namely Miles Bridges and a healthy LeMelo Ball. LaMelo played in only 36 games last season. If they get those guys back and have better health, and with the addition of Miller, they should have the talent to get back up to close to 0.500.

Yeah, Southeast is gonna be pretty terrible again. Think the Hawks might disappoint again, curious what the Magic do. Trying to tune in some, Orlando should be semi-entertaining and very interesting to watch with regards to development (Banchero, Wagner, also Suggs and whether Isaac can bounce back)
