In this case Nuggets is Man City and the rest are The Big 6 or something similar.
We have a chance. Just need to keep fighting and to build the correct habit and chemistry. And luck, obviously.
We’ll see.

Credit due though for at least picking up a nice piece in Kenyon jr from Hou, and moreover for NOT caving to any alleged Philly demands for Mann in any Harden deal, whom though just a ‘role-player’ at age 27, is still nonetheless a core, two-way piece who statistically elevates the play of the rest of the roster and arguably still owns the higher ceiling of any other Clippers player aside from PG or Kawhi. Personally, I am relieved (especially with another core, two-way guy in Batum retiring after this year) Mann wasn’t sacrificed for any ‘perceived’ short-term upgrade!

Not excited for next season. Got to get back on Club O.

…this is giving me PTSD flashbacks.

Four of the 5 teams have made the conference finals in the past 4 seasons (LAL, GSW, Phx, LAC). Three have made the finals in the past 4 years (LAL, Phx, GSW). Two have won the chip (LAL, GSW). I think all 5 will finish at least 5 games above .500. Like last season, there are a lot of quality teams in the league and most teams will be in the middle of the pack. Health matters, but execution and coaching matter more. The NBA has become a bit like the English Premier League in soccer. The wealth is spread out. Everyone has good players. Any team can be beaten (or be played to a draw in soccer) on any night. The best teams win because of their overall depth and coaching.

Last year, we were shaky on both depth and coaching. We had poor depth at the #5, and the team kept thinking their problem was at the #1 (we had issues, but a solution w/Terance Mann, which the team backed away from). We had good depth at the #2/#3 but key guys missed a lot of time (PG, Norm, Kawhi). Our #4 was the worst in the league. Our coaching wasn’t very good.

This year, we are pretty sound at every position (well, we still have Morris on the roster so stay tuned). We have depth. We have more athleticism. The issue is the coach. Ty Lue is an assistant on the US team at the FIBA world cup and the team’s performance has me a little worried, tbh. The US team is terrible at rebounding and half court execution. They’re not very good defending at the 4/5, either. Yet, we keep Walker Kessler on the bench who is a rebounding machine, a finisher, and is perfect for the int’l game against the big Euro forwards and centers. We’re playing Paolo Banchero, Bobby Portis and Jaren Jackson Jr. JJJ has a total of 5 rebounds over the past 3 games. Kessler got that in 10 minutes today vs Italy. But I digress.

Obviously, health is the biggest issue, but looking at the Clips early schedule they have a chance to get out to an 8-3 start or something like that. They have a real chance to compete for and win the midseason tournament. No reason why the Clips can’t win 47-50 games this year.

I’m not high on him, but they got him for basically nothing. I gotta admit I’m not liking how our frontcourt matches up w/ theirs…especially since MM is still here.

“The sixers have to address the Harden problem sooner than later”
Were you able to see what’s that’s all about?

Still hoping that Harden puts on the fat suit and makes himself such a pain in the ass that Philly gladly lets him lets him join his pals on the Clippers.
