Woj is saying they want to make a big move. They have plenty of draft capital and young players to trade.

Because they sure as hell aren’t contending anytime soon. I could sort of see them being more motivated to sell off those guys, but the problem now is that FOs may be more hesitant to move guys if they can’t get a haul for them out of fear of losing face (i.e. their fanbases/media may be like “look at how much Brooklyn got for their guy! Why did we only get this much?!”).

Hopefully the Clippers can still get something of value for Paul George, but I don’t think losing the Knicks as a potential landing spot helps in negotiations…especially since Philly and Orlando would be signing George outright instead of trading for him,

This puts pressure on Philly, ATL and Orlando to make a move because NYK just got scarier. IMO this ups the price for PG13 because teams might over react to the Bridges trade.

To me he’s like a bigger, more talented T-Mann. I love his fit on the Knicks, but that’s *a lot* of draft picks to give up for him – I suppose they were fine w/ it because they got to hang onto McBride and their other depth pieces. If they can stay healthy (and somehow bring back OG and Hart) I think they give the Celtics a real scare next year.

His best offer is to take the Clippers’ offer, sure. But that’s not what’s best for the Clippers and I hope that offer isn’t on the table anymore. What’s best for the Clippers is to trade him for whatever they can get (hopefully that Warriors deal or something close to it is actually available), and then slowly try to rebuild the draft war chest, and at some point find a FO that doesn’t suck at evaluating prospects.

MB one of my favorite players. I felt like Brooklyn got the better of that deal with the Suns and the Knicks smartly pounced on him. He’s not the sexiest player but anyone who’s followed him knows he pretty much has no weaknesses, tremendous efficiency, off the charts IQ, defense, and is capable of leading a team in scoring but chooses not to. Team/winning-first type of guy. Boston has got a real fight on their hands now.

Then, what should PG do now? Best option for him that might sound boring and disappointing (to many) is to actually extend with us, even with 3 year deal.
He has everything here line up for him: FO & coach who try their bet to cater him. Fans who also try our best to support for him.
That 4th year will push him to find some place who can offer that. But I doubt it will end in the best possible outcome for him and even to his camp. Let’s see.

They gave up a *haul* for Mikal. So I guess it’s Warriors or bust for trades for George at this point. Really unfortunate – I was hoping the Knicks and Warriors would get into a bidding war.

Last couple of years of George have really, really soured me on him, especially at his asking price. I’d rather let him walk, get under the 2nd apron, secure Mann and Zu to slight pay raises, and then make due with the increased flexibility. Anything we can salvage from George in a trade would just be gravy.

Personally, Tristan Da Silva will be my pick. Tall, agile, good cutter & shooter and overall a high BBIQ player. Would be a good choice if we can sneak into the 1st round.
Isaiah Crawford is a solid prospect. He models his game after Kawhi (as he told in one interview) and also have quite a scary injury history as him. Worth a pick in the mid of second round or if he doesn’t get drafted, would be nice to sign him as an UDFA.
