Kawhi can’t last a season regardless of position. But yea, why exacerbate his injury woes by making him battle PFs?

L Frank could’ve gotten a PJ Washington (who was available!) to fill the void at forward. If we could get Batum back, I’d be for it, but as a backup. We need to take the starting PF issue seriously and Kawhi can’t play the #4 and last a season at this stage of his career.

Yep, you nail all those points.
I can’t stand watching/following OKC vs DAL series. OKC win, it hurts to know that we help built half that team. DAL wins, that should be us instead of them. And turns out that PJ Washington is quite good.
But SGA is that guy.
This year, he might get no shot against Jokic and his crew. But him and the other young guys will get better. Cason Wallace looks like a real deal. Watching his draft analysis and dude looks like the most pro-ready guard as you can get.
I know that Brown & Miller *might* not be as good as we hope for. (Personally, I think both will be good. Brown have a chance to be quite special, if given enough chance with proper role/development)
But if we can develop them and they become at least rotational guys for us. At least we have something to cheer for.
Man, NBA draft can’t come soon enough. And I hope that we will let our future prospect play. 🙂

The first was when I learned Shai was in the PG trade (almost fainted). The second was when we traded Lou for Rondo (it ended up being a wash and just heartbreaking for Lou and us fans). And losing Nico was #3. I immediately wondered “How the hell are we going to overcome this?” Then the FO proceeded like zombies by ignoring our PF crisis the entire season just like they did the backup center crisis last season. One by one we watched guys like Collins and Toppin get moved for peanuts and we never did a damn thing. Gallo, and then J-Myke were my last hopes. Who knows how much more tread Kawhi might have had on his tires without him having to shove bodies around as a seudo 4? Might have won another game or 2 and been able to take it a little easier down the stretch.

If we’re going to run it back as a shitty old team then I’m fine with spending whatever MLE we have on bringing him back for the vibes. Just a great person.

He was sorely missed this year, even if his numbers don’t pop off the stat sheet.

His episode on LA Clipper Youtube Channel is great. The way he adjust himself and do whatever we ask him to do, on and off the court. The dialogue between him and his wife when she gave birth to their kid are so heartwarming.
Sending him out might be the worst part of the Harden trade.
If we clear out all the vets on the current team. I want us to get him back, whether as a player or a coach.
Hope he understand this side of the business and return.
But I won’t blame him if he can’t.
Still have a special place for him for what he’s done for us for the past few years. Wish him all the best.

After all, Nic credited us for having faith in him so maybe the Harden trade won’t completely cancel out the soft spot he has for the clips. He’d no doubt have trouble keeping up with the OKC speedsters but he’d still have a place in the NBA.
